Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner are Atlanta Botanical Garden fans

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, in town while she films a movie called “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” are into the local green scene in a big way.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden, that is.

They’ve both been spotted there with their daughters. Most recently, Ben and the girls were seen there earlier today, touring the property. Previously, Jennifer had taken them by for a weekend sally through the gardens.

We hear the Affleck family has become so enamored with the Atlanta Botanical Garden that they’ve purchased a family membership! So if you are over there enjoying the exhibits you may see them strolling past.

By the way we’re sure the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where the “Orchid Daze” exhibit is running through April 10, would love for you to become a member too, even if you aren’t famous.

For information click here for the website.

Update: want a T-shirt? Say something NICE. I’m tired of the negative comments! Pleasant comments will be entered into a random drawing.

Celebrity sighting can do nothing but good for places like the Botanical Garden. Bring in more people! Also, I’m stunned at how much the picture on the homepage of Affleck looks like Travis Bickle. For reals.

And I don’t understand why all of the hate for people who get a kick out of posting first… Does it really matter that much if it makes them happy?

Nope.

Well you certainly summed that up perfectly.

Awesome! Now the paparazzi knows where they can go to invade their privacy. Good job, AJC! Maybe you all should stick to reporting news, instead of stalking people…

Yeah, Ben used to be a Dawg fan when he bought that property down at Hampton Island, Liberty County. Now you don’t see him hanging around wearing UGA gear after this losing snap. Maybe he’s back on the bandwagon with the DREAM TEAM. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!

Roekest: If Jennifer Brett knew they were there, then no doubt others did as well. If they continue to go there, I think they are doing just fine with the amount of limited attention they are getting. It only helps the ABG.

She hasn’t done anything noteworthy since ALIAS and when he is not at the botanical garden he can be seen riding Matt Damon’s coattails.
He is one of the lousiest actors in Hollywood today.
If he were a politician, he would probably be Speaker of the House of Reps in the GA Gen Assembly. Seriously, that’s how big of a loser this guy is.

This guy went from Jeniffer Lopez to Jeniffer Garner. I guess Jeniffer Love-hewitt will be next. Then he’ll probably just turn gay. Which is about the same thing as being with Jeniffer Garner, so maybe he should try to hold onto her for the sake of efficiency.

Dear AJC stalker
Do your diligence, MS Garner’s career somewhat started at the GA Shakespeare Festivle at Oglethorpe. Maybe if you put a photographer at the gate you could get a glimpse into her world. FYI, Ill be at the Ritz downtown tonight, and I do photos.

To “She has big ears and he is a huge dork”! I saw him this morning at the botanical gardens ALONE with his beautiful children! No nanny! Don’t call the man a looser when he is obviously a great dad who has fun with his children!! That should get him more respect than any movie he’s been in! Jealousy is not a nice quality “She has big ears and he is a huge dork”!! Pick on somebody else!!

She has lizard lips anyway

Jenifer Garner is not attractive. Sorry if this makes anyone want to cry, but it’s true.
Ben Affleck stole two and a half hours of my life that I will never get back. Pearl Harbor is the worst movie ever made. It was so bad I was actually pulling for the Japs halfway through it.
I know some enlightened readers may find my comments insensitive of misguided, but I truly believe that if you just take two minutes to stop and look yourself full in the mirror you will see what an ugly pig nose you have and how terribly close-set your eyes are, Lynn. Ugh. So immature.
And you have that B.O., but not sweat or garlic, more like poop or just dead on the inside smell that all of the Listerine in WalMart ain’t gonna cure. I recommend a thorough health screening and a full head scarf.

I’m from lily white Cherokee County and I’d take J-LO over Jenny “man-shoulders” Garner any day.
Jenny from the block has all kinds of everything. I haven’t dated a white chick in at least five years.
Not hatin’ on my peeps, I’m just saying a latina/black/asian @ 35 looks better than most white chix @ 25. I guess that’s white white chix are always in such a hurry to get married. they gotta short shelf-life.

I think saying someone “must be from Decatur” is actually a compliment. I associate Decatur with idealistic people who are less shallow and focus on important stuff like education. Some of the coolest people in my composting club live in Avondale, but I’m not really sure if that’s considered decatur for emotional sensitvity or intellectual purposes.

Holy crepe! Did you just see that Christie Brinkley reference??!

The sad truth

February 22nd, 2011
4:52 pm

I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but a lot of misinformation is being spread on this site today.
The truth is Bennifer is just another shallow celebrity couple, and their children are neither attractive nor well-adapted.
They would be much better off in the care of nannies who would not encourage them to throw their lives away by making horrible movies like “Pearl Harbor.”
However, I do think the Atlanta Botanical Garden is a wonderful place. I was there this weekend with my wife. It is nice to see money well-spent in Atlanta. The improvements are teriffic.
I wish the Afflecks and thei hideously deformed bat-children all the best.

That’s wonderful. Proof that movies and television shows filmed in Georgia bring dollars into the state but also bring attention to many wonderful attractions. A-list stars often have their fingers in production companies. I hope their excursions around Atlanta may bring future projects to these locations. Thanks, Buzz, for the good story. It’s so nice to see something about celebs doing normal things in our city. Too often we hear of their crazy escapades at the bars and clubs, it’s great to hear about people enjoying it like a family.

Ben is from my hometown of Cambridge, MA! It is a beautiful city with lots of parks and greenspaces for families. I can understand why he and his family would enjoy the Botanical Gardens. I am happy so many tv shows and films are being made in the Atlanta area a real boost for our economy and hopefully tourism.
