“Housewife” NeNe disputes pregnancy rumor
The blogosphere is alight with chatter suggesting NeNe Leakes is pregnant, but her response, via Twitter, is pretty adamant: “PREGNANT? I’ve said it b4 & I’ll say it AGAIN…I WON’T B HAVIN A CHILD WIT NO MAN! SHOP IS CLOSED! WRONG HOUSEWIFE.”
929 Dave FM’s Jimmy Baron piped up with a little info just now, saying he sat with NeNe last night at a Hawks game, where she had a cocktail.

“NeNe was very pleasant and actually better looking in person, if you ask me,” said Baron, whose show “Jimmy & Yvonne” is on from 5 to 9 a.m. weekdays (Wonder what they will discuss tomorrow?)
Numerous blogs, including The Beat of Philly, and Media Takeout, have been posting items about the supposed pregnancy, where paternity is a mystery. It’s not clear whether there are various sources behind these multiple online articles, or if they’re all just repeating what the other has posted.
It’s just the latest preggo chatter surrounding the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member.
Radar Online reported several days ago that NeNe’s son Bryson Bryant and his girlfriend are expecting, and that NeNe, 42, is not happy about it.

I just love how the word ghetto is so synonomous with being African-American. Most of y’all havent even seen the ghetto, been to a ghetto, lived in a ghetto, had friends in a ghetto, etc, etc., but throw the word around like you know about the ghetto first-hand. You know not of what you speak. Its 2010 people, get over yourselves…if its so ghetto, stop watching the show, you have a choice, as well as a remote control. If its so ghetto, stop being a troll and reading articles about it on AJC.com EVERYDAY, and leaving nasty comments attacking the writer of the article and the cast of the show. But you probably can’t because you are just as entertained by it as everyone else and just don’t want to admit it. It’s a tv show thats not meant to be serious, but a form of entertainment.

To the HOA haters: The Housewives of Atlanta is not only the highest rated of the Housewives’ franchise, but it is the highest rated reality show on Bravo. . .
To the ATL haters: Atlanta is a predominantly Black city that has been ruled by Black leadership since the 1970’s. Under this leadership, Atlanta has emerged as an international transportation hub and business center. She has attracted and hosted the summer Olympics — a feat that neither Chicago, New York, nor San Francisco have been able to do within the last 20 years. The population in the Atlanta metro area has increased 400% since the 1970’s, and continues to increase, so much so, that Georgia will gain 2 additional seats in Congress. Atlanta has been dubbed the capital of the New South, and what casts a negative light on Atlanta is NOT some so-called “ghetto” characters on a reality tv show, but racist posts that evoke memories of the Old, glad-it’s-gone-ain’t-never-coming-back-no-matter-how-hard-you-try South!
To those who know better: The venom spewed in some of these hateful posts is just a sign of the times. . .The racist of yesteryear would have attended a lynching or two, perhaps hidden under the guise of a white sheet, but the racist of the turn-of-the 21st century must resign himself to the electronic, cyber lynching, hiding before a computer monitor. The racist is an insecure, abusive coward who is so haunted by his own feelings of inferiority, that he needs to be continuously validated by delusions of grandeur in his own image. He attacks those he deems “inferior” if he is not being validated.
So in this case, it’s not enough that there are 5 other Housewife shows with almost all-white casts. No, the racist has to have them all be white. Remember, he needs that continuous validation. . .those delusions of grandeur!

Excuse me Larry I wanna thank People Magazine and al of the others for promoting the show Teen Moms with all of those white girls unmarried with babies. Honorable mention to Bristol Palin and Brittany Spears sisters. Like white woman marry as virgins. Murray Povich would have been on for 5 days trying to figure out who Anna Nicole Smith baby daddy was with all of those men coming forth. Check out all of the abortion clinics on the north side of Buckhead my friend. They are there for a reason and it sure isn’t for the scenery. Betta ask somebody. That Gone With the Wind narrative about the virtures of the pure white woman blew in the wind years ago and you know it.

This is a message to Jennifer Brett….this consistent writing about the Housewives of Atlanta just shows what a rag your paper is and an amateur writer you are. Thank God I don’t live there anymore. The “Housewives” think they are “movie stars” when they have exactly zero talent. How stupid and nieve they are. I will give them credit that they have wormed their way into making lots of money for doing nothing. Also of all the Housewife series …the Atlanta one is the most stupid and idiotic of all of them. What a consistent embarassment for the city they females are… and I use female, because none are ladies.

Atlanta,the onve great city in the south was built up by Ted Turner,Coca Cola,Delta Air Lines,Home Depot.
What did any in the black appointed leadership do ? Steel money ? Hire their uniquely unqualified family and friends and put them on city and county payrolls ?
What did any black owned private business do to build a bridge to the racial divide without extortion,threat of class action lawsuits,affirmative action ?
It’s all about values,not race.
Black Atlanta is obsessed with racism,still fighting the civil war.

It would be nice if they actually had housewive’s on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta”! Let’s take inventory…Kim – single….Sheree – single….Kandi – single….NeNe – almost divorced….Cynthia – almost married…Phaedra – Married (but to a house-husband)!!!! When I first started watching the show, I hated NeNe’s outspoken personality, but the more I watch it she (along with Kandi) seem to be the only genuine people on the show! I do hope that everyone around the globe watching this, doesn’t stereotype Atlantans based off of what they see on the show.

@ TegraDucos: Larry 5:49 has it right (I’ll attribute his numerous spelling & grammatical errors to typos and being in a rush)–the Atlanta black political class is a parasite feeding off of white-created prosperity. If they didn’t have such a healthy host to feed off of, they would be worse off than Clayton or Dekalb.

To Larry: Please do your research and leave the stereotyping at home. We are not all feeding into the racial turmoil, unfortunately those that do make the headlines. I could quite easily sit and point out all of the corrupt white politicians that have held office in Atlanta, but that would only feed your hatred. I am a college educated man that has spent his life devoted to fighting this type of insanity (perpetuated by both whites and blacks alike). I have conducted diversity workshops for 2 of the companies you listed, because they sorely needed it. Please don’t base your opionions of race simply because of the irresponsible reporting of today’s media. Remember that controversy gets ratings (why this show is so popular) and humanitarian stories put viewers to sleep. This is why you only hear about the corrupted criminal element of black Atlanta. I challenge you to look up Warrick Dunn or many other black Atlantans that have had positive contributions to the city. I don’t mean this as an insult. I simply want you to see us all for who we are and not who WSB, CNN, MSNBC and other media installations portray us to be.

@ Brian 6:11: Larry was more annoyed that “TegraDucos” was attributing the economic ascension of Atlanta to the rise of its black political class; we all know that the majority of politicians are corrupt–morally if not legally. The black-dominated political machine that has risen in Atlanta siphons energy off of its economic engine rather than fuel it.

There are so many brave black people who gave their lives and risked their lives for equal opportunities, education, and rights for black people. This show plays into every negative sterotype of black people. Think of those precious little girls who were killed in the church bombing in Birmingham. Do the actions of these black women (except the singer/producer who is actually a good role model) honor those little girls? This show insults black people who work hard, further their education, and try to better themselves and their community. I would be embarrassed if I was a black woman to think that this is how the rest of the country perceives me. And before you say anything about the other housewives shows, I admit they are bad too. The difference is that black people have had to struggle for equal rights and have had to work hard to overcome sterotypes in more recent years. I know a lot of successful, respectable black women who hate this show and I wish more people would wake up and realize they are being played the fool by the producers of this show.

first of all if NeNe as a Black Woman is only 42, then I must be 32 as a white woman. She looks much older than what a black 42 year old woman should look like. My nanny’s alcholic 52 year old mother looks 10 time better.
Second, let’s get the facts of the last mayoral election in Atlanta correct. The black machine barely stole it from Mary Norwood in the run-off by just over 700 votes. By busing in voters from public housing complexes that had been torn down. The Dem’s went all out in the run off of the non-partisan race to to defeat Mary Norwood to protect the minority set aside system. There is a lot of money involved at the airport. This will be the last time, just as in New Orlean’s where Mitch Landrue gained back the Mayor’s office after years of the black mayors wasting the taxes primarly paid by the white neighborhoods.
