George and Laura Bush will be here Thursday

Former President George W. Bush and wife, Laura, will be here Thursday.

Former President George W. Bush and wife, Laura, will be here Thursday.

Former President George W. Bush, who has been making the rounds in support of his new book, “Decision Points,” will be here in Atlanta to sign it on Thursday.

Former First Lady Laura Bush, who was in town not long ago supporting her book, “Spoken From the Heart,” will return to Atlanta accompanying her husband. (Here’s a blog post from her visit earlier this year, during which she dined at South City Kitchen and made time for some antiques shopping.)

The former first couple will appear at 11:30 a.m. this Thursday at the Buckhead Borders, at 3637 Peachtree Rd. In order to meet them, you need to obtain a wristband in advance. Wristbands are available beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday at that Borders.

To receive the wristband you need to purchase both “Decision Points” and “Spoken From the Heart.” (Limit of two books per person). It sounds like security will be tight during their visit. During the appearance, you’ll need to leave all bags, purses and phones in your car.

For more information call the store at 404-237-0707.

Buster…your comment > ” Hopefully someone will come in and slap them both across their mealy mouthed faces. What a waste of air to breath ”

….hmmmmm….just the fact you want someone to hit a classy lady like Laura Bush in the mouth is repulsive

….and look, cannot meet you Saturday afternoon, but Saturday night is wide open, I work as a bouncer ( bald headed white guy ) at Dixie Tavern, Windy Hill Road, please stop by…cannot wait to drop you..I mean meet you

“two more years…………” Surely you’re joking. Bush was accepted into Harvard and Yale based upon white affirmative action, namely the legacy admissions policy. He couldn’t even get accepted to the University of Texas. Not trying to inflame, simply to inform. Please read more books.

Expect a call from the Secret Service and/or the Homeland Security folks, honey. Making that comment was a major mistake on your part. Funny how you Liberals lash out when someone doesn’t buy into your kumbayah world order. Tell the officers hello for me when you are taken in….

My vote is with Ahnold

They are worth so much money because they…wait for it…inherited it! They’ve never had to work for a thing, unlike the Obamas who both came from lower-middle-class families and earned their own fortunes. Of course, some of the folks posting here are threatened by people of color who are high-achievers. It’s unfortunate, but true. I don’t hate the Bushes, but W. was a horrible president and I very much resent his bad choices as President. And I can’t imagine spending money for either of their ghost-written books because, frankly, they both bore me to tears.

Would love to see them both, but the “rules” require you to go in today to buy the books and get your armband and then go back tomorrow. I can’t take off that much work!!!!! I’M SO SAD!!!!!!!!

I think they are both wonderful people. Unlike Obama he has no clue and it’s all about Obama.what a way to run a country Obama keep putting more people out of work.
