Another Ryan Reynolds-Jason Bateman sighting

Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman continue to film their buddy flick “The Change Up,” where two guys switch bodies a la “Freaky Friday.”

The film has shot some scenes at the downtown Bank of America building over the past few days in which Bateman’s character, having undergone the switcheroo, struggles to make sense discussing a huge multi-million dollar deal with a bunch of lawyers in a boardroom. (Kennesaw’s Paul Barlow nabbed a part as one of the shocked lawyers, so be sure to look out for him!)

The movie’s also been shooting at the Georgian Terrace. Those scenes, featuring Reynolds, take place in the ballroom. For the film the ballroom has been transformed into the “Plantation Oaks Country Club,” so maybe it’s a party scene.

Those good people at the Fox Theatre, across the street, wanted the guys to feel welcome so they updated their marquee with this cute message. Ha! Some nice product placement for George Lopez, too.

And Reynolds and Bateman visited Antico Pizza’s Luca Varuni today, to meet the guy behind the pies they’ve been devouring. Antico has been providing on-set eats while “The Change Up” has been here, and now counts the movie’s stars among its legion of fans.

We hear that during their visit, Varuni packed up some cannolis to go for Reynolds, for a “special” celebration. Perhaps wife Scarlett Johansson’s 26th birthday?

I have worked on this movie for the past week as an extra. Great group of actors and production staff. They have been very professional and the set was a lot of fun. This movie will be hilarious. It is directed by the same guy that directed Wedding Crashers and was written by the guy that wrote The Hangover.

Glad to see they have their priorities straight! I could work anywhere as long as Antico is catering. Way to support the local guys!

I also was an extra the day they shot at Turner Field. It was very, very cold that day. We rewarded ourselves after the shoot also with Antico Pizza. The best. Glad they found one of the great places in Atlanta.

What trailer park does the AJC get it’s bloggers from these days?

Dear JC,

I do in fact have relatives who have lived in trailers. My great grandparents lived in a 2-room home in a rural West Virginia coal mining community where the restroom facilities were out back. They recycled Christmas cards because there was no money to purchase them new each year. I’m grateful each generation of my family prized education, no matter how little they had.

By the way, the apostrophe in “its” in your comment is not needed, since the word is possessive and not plural. You would use an apostrophe in this sentence: “It’s fun to read blog comments.”

Happy Thanksgiving,

Jennifer

I think this actually sounds like a funny movie. And it’s cool that so many major movies have been filming here recently.

(another proper use of the apostrophe)
