Morning show host Regis Philbin and his cohort Kelly Ripa welcomed hip hop star Nicki Minaj on Monday, when the show was broadcasting from Las Vegas.

Regis is apparently a fan of Nicki’s. Maybe a little too eager a fan.

“I love the way you dress,” he told the entertainer. And then for some reason he made contact with her backside, as Kelly shrieked, “Regis!”

Here’s a video of the incident from the Huffington Post, in case you’d like to have a look for yourself.

Someone asked Nicki about the encounter on Twitter.

“Lol. I was in shock!” was her response.

Also during her time with Regis and Kelly, when they were all discussing Lil Wayne, Regis cracked a joke suitable for a Viagra ad.

Aww. Here’s some happy news on the first day of work after Thanksgiving: Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is engaged.

From a short ESPN piece announcing the item:

“Ryan said he and former Boston College basketball player Sarah Marshall, who have been dating for about seven years, are engaged. Ryan said he and Marshall will marry sometime in the offseason.”

ESPN credited WXIA for the initial report.

We have interviewed Ryan a couple of times, not about sports but about his philanthropic endeavors around town. Here’s a recent piece on his charity putt putt night with fellow Falcon Coy Wire.

We’re off to Savannah, where my husband is from, for a few days. The normally four-hour drive is bound to be an ordeal, as we are getting on the highway this evening. But, at least there will be no TSA logjams to contend with!

Antico Pizza's Luca Varuni spent some quality time with Jason Bateman, left, and Ryan Reynolds.

Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman continue to film their buddy flick “The Change Up,” where two guys switch bodies a la “Freaky Friday.”

The film has shot some scenes at the downtown Bank of America building over the past few days in which Bateman’s character, having undergone the switcheroo, struggles to make sense discussing a huge multi-million dollar deal with a bunch of lawyers in a boardroom. (Kennesaw’s Paul Barlow nabbed a part as one of the shocked lawyers, so be sure to look out for him!)

Ryan Reynolds made the cover of People magazine, but Bateman got some love on the Fox Theatre marquee

The movie’s also been shooting at the Georgian Terrace. Those scenes, featuring Reynolds, take place in the ballroom. For the film the ballroom has been transformed into the “Plantation Oaks Country Club,” so maybe it’s a party scene.

A number of notables will be providing Thanksgiving turkeys to needy families on Tuesday.

Comedian-author-radio personality Steve Harvey and his wife, Marjorie, will be giving away thousands of birds nationwide through Harvey’s syndicated radio show. The couple will be personally handing them out to families and senior citizens in need from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Adamsville Recreation Center, 3201 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW.

“It feels great to be giving away turkeys again this year, and to be in Atlanta this year to give turkeys is truly a blessing,” the couple said in a statement.

With Jessica Seinfeld in town to promote her cookbook at the Book Festival of the MJCCA this week, it was only natural that Jenny Levison sign on to lead a discussion with her at the center.

Jess, of course, is married to Jerry Seinfeld, whose encounter with “The Soup Nazi” led to a most memorable line in television history: “No soup for you!”

Jenny, of course, is better known as “Souper Jenny,” the lady who ladles out such beloved bowlfuls that a crowd crushes into her little Buckhead shop daily. (Not to mention the near-riot every year when Levison prepares for her month-long summer vacation).

The two hit it off on stage during Jessica’s presentation at the book festival, and in the restaurant, where Jenny proclaimed, “Soup for you!”

Actually we have no idea if she said that. It does sound like something Jenny would say though. She’s quite the ham.

Anthony Williams was a fan favorite during his stint on “Project Runway” as much for his quick wit as his fashions, including the blue frock he created for Heidi Klum to wear on the cover of Marie Claire magazine.

If you have been missing his snappy one-liners, fret not, “The Diva” as he calls himself, will be meeting and greeting at 2 p.m. Saturday at Macy’s at North Point Mall in Alpharetta.

If he has his way you may be seeing Williams on air again soon. He told us in a phone interview this week that he is just back from Los Angeles, where he auditioned for a role as a talk show host. He isn’t supposed to give details.

He also said he’s designed a dress for an actress he considers to be “the girl version of me.” He wasn’t giving up her name. Aw come on.

We spent a little time on the set of "Holiday Love," by actress-writer-director Kim Fields. It's scheduled to air on Christmas Eve – stay tuned for which network and other details -and will star Mo'Nique, Rickey Smiley, Yolanda Adams, among others.

Fields reviews a scene with Brian Courtney Wilson, from left, Kenny Lattimore and Wess Morgan. The filming took place at a private Buckhead estate.

Fields was recently honored by Women in Film and Television Atlanta at a gala at the Woodruff Arts Center. She was nice enough to let us visit the set and seems like a fun boss. She likes to laugh!

In this scene Wilson, Lattimore and Morgan play put-upon dads just looking for a break during the holidays. They sang a version of "The 12 Days of Christmas" outlining what they all had to purchase: 11 gift cards, 10 Barbie dolls, 8 cupcakes, 7 pairs of Sevens, 6 iPods, a 5-carat ring, 4 DVDs, 3 bags of candy, lights and a tree! I forgot what 9 was.

Not only is Ryan Reynolds the sexiest man alive, but he also got to meet John Smoltz!

If you’re Ryan Reynolds and People mag has just named you the sexiest guy on the planet, there’s only one way to celebrate.

Hook up with Chris Tucker and Jason Bateman for a guys’ night of course!

The trio showed up at Two Urban Licks last night, we’re hearing. Jason and Ryan are in town shooting this buddy flick “The Change Up.” It also stars Olivia Wilde.

It’s been filming all over town, including a huge scene at Turner Field that starred former Braves pitcher John Smoltz in a cameo playing himself.

Ryan Seacrest wouldn’t say much about his girlfriend Julianne Hough when the two were in town recently to launch “The Voice,” the new radio station for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta patients, as well as a Ronald McDonald House Charities benefit.

Julianne apparently doesn’t mind talking about him, spilling all sorts of lovey-dovey details Tuesday on Ellen DeGeneres’ show.

Here’s an excerpt from their visit:

Ellen: Is he romantic? Is he a good boyfriend?

Julianne: Oh my gosh. He’s phenomenal. He’s really romantic. He’s not even in town and I got in my car and there are flowers everywhere.

Ellen: In your car?

Julianne: Yeah.

Ellen: That is romantic in a car. Or it’s crazy.

Julianne: And for my birthday, same thing. Like flowers everywhere. I was almost embarrassed. You walk in and you’re like, “Is this my room? I don’t even know.” I’m kind of embarrassed.
