When local singer-songwriter Caroline Herring took the stage at the Fox Theatre with Garrison Keillor back in May, we figured they were longtime friends, given their rapport and perfect blending of their voices on songs such as “Dixie Darling.”
Nope.
They had not met before his show, “A Prairie Home Companion,” came to town. Herring is back in action (minus Keillor this time) for two shows at Eddie’s Attic.
She’ll perform at 8 p.m. Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday. The second show, the day before Halloween, is kid- and costume-friendly.

By the way the May 22 episode of “A Prairie Home Companion,” which was themed “Georgia On My Mind” and also featured humorist Roy Blount Jr., E.G. Knight and the Steep Canyon Rangers, is online here. It was a great show!
The weekly radio show airs live at 6 p.m. each Saturday on WABE.
