T.I. axed by AXE
The rapper T.I. has been canned by the AXE deodorant company, following his recent legal woes.
Known to the courthouse crowd as Clifford Harris, the entertainer is heading back to prison following an arrest on a drug charge while on probation for a weapons charge.
AXE told the TMZ site simply, “We will no longer feature T.I. in our promotional campaign.”
He had signed with AXE earlier this year, but has been removed already from their web site.
In brighter news, of course, T.I. is credited with having talked a depressed young man off a ledge. The two reunited during a V-103 radio visit, during which T.I. waxed prophetic.
“All of the things we go through in life, they just prepare us for the next battle,” said the rapper and film star, who is headed back to prison soon to serve 11 more months.

I do not condone the illegal acts of T.I. or any other person, especially celebrities; however I am happy that he only has 11 months to serve for his recent setback. I believe this is as fair a sentence that he will ever get as a young black male that happens to be a celebrity.
Not to throw stones, but didn’t Paris Hilton just get community service for cocaine possession and then get PROBATION…only to be an accomplice to hit-and-run a week later.
People make mistakes, people learn. Some change, some don’t. I believe in the good a person does and T.I. has done A LOT more good than he has bad.Let him serve his time and we can move on.

I agree that TI should go to prison. The problem I have is with our flawed legal system where similar acts in different locations have totally different results. Leif Garret wonderboy singer from the past was just sentenced to rehab. He is a repeat offender. Put him in jail. Pro football player is in prison for shooting himself in a public place. Another pro football player hits and kills a pedestrian while under the influence and gets a slap on the wrist. Whats up with the system. It sucks so bad.

TI you are very blessed to have money to keep you from serving lots of time. My grandson was riding with the wrong crowd, and someone got shot, but they lived. He got more time than anyone, 70 years. His lawyer sold him out, and now he has to do at least 35 years. His children will be adults, and his wife will be long gone. He is only 23 years old. Money talks.

Actually TI can be compared to any other celebrity that has been charged with the same crime. No he is not a first time offender and neither were those other celebrities. Again I say he deserves to serve time for his illegal activity, however those other celebrities deserve to serve time as well.
Until the laws and the criminal justice system are equated equally in every city and every state in the US, people will always disagree on the punishments that ALL people receive, including celebrities.

I can forgive a person for one big mistake, but to continue making bad judgements just because you feel that your stardom and fame will free you from them, is just being irresponsible and arrogant. I hope Andrew Young of Atlanta is listening. Live and learn, hopefully he has learned a lesson as well as his wife. Even though he was arrested I think his wife should be rediculed as well. She knew the circumstances her husband was released upon and she was getting high and partying with him as well. The high they should have been on should have been natural they just got married if you have to take a drug to enjoy one of the best moments in your life then I say maybe it wasn’t that great. I think she needs to come out and say you know he wasn’t by himself. But I do give him credit because this was about her not him so Tiny I hope you are happy your man is on his way back to jail for 11 months so the private plane ride you may take to see him off and all of that crying we don;t want to see it. As I sit as a college educated MAN in my comfortable, modest home sipping green tea and typing..I am doing so as a FREE man. I don’t have the trappings of his success, or the figures in bank account, but I have something that is priceless…common sense, something he severely lacks. His decisions are the equivalent of a free man volunteering to be enslaved. He is locked up like an animal and controlled with no rights. He can’t make any decisions in prison from what he eats to when he eats, and hey..life is short. How nice is it to have a beautiful home you aren’t living in and nice cars you can’t drive? I truly hope people get so tired of his crap that he is not glorified whenever he gets out. Eventually he won’t be able to financially gain from all of his miscues.

Life is the greatest teacher. Things happen for a reason & that reason is to teach you in life. T.I. when the parents of one of the schools did not want you speaking to their children, I thought, T.I. has more influence over these kids than the parents & I was on your side, but until you can get your life together youngman, I think you need someone to talk to you. You have already beaten the odds, young, black & rich, why not add intelligent to that list. I am so tired of seeing all of these young, rich black men continue to destroy their lives with demons they need to let go of. I have no comment to the article really, just my thoughts in hopes that T.I., his family, and friends may happen to read this.
T.I. for all of the publicized great things you do for others something tells me that you struggle within about your own greatness. And when all eyes are on you along with great responsibility you fight even harder to keep your head above water. Fame and fortune come at a price that some slowly but surely self destruct. For others fame and fortune are manageable for a life time. Take advantage of these next 9 months to reflect on what is your ‘true purpose of existence’, ‘what if truely important’, and what you ‘truely want for your future’ in this world. Spend the last 2 months mapping out how you will continue to manage these things for a life time.
Lastly, never forget that only you can define the person you are no one else can do that for you. Just remember, ‘Once The Man and Twice The Baby’. Life is so very short T.I.
Use your past to define your future. Enjoy life don’t let it enjoy you.

T.I. i have a son that got 58 yrs in prison and he is in pelican bay. the most notorious prison in california, he is only a child. can you talk to him and give him some hope? i am 47 yrs old and now they have him in the hole with a mattress and his underwear. everytime he goes in the yard he gets jumped. do you know how me as a mother feels? i cannot eat, sleep or rest. i pray for my child everyday. i wish i could see him in 11 months….my email dennis3812@att.net. i wish someone had encouraging words for me. i have been looking for a prison ministry. i probably will not even go back on this site but may god bless you. at least you will see your mom again.
