The rapper T.I. has been canned by the AXE deodorant company, following his recent legal woes.
Known to the courthouse crowd as Clifford Harris, the entertainer is heading back to prison following an arrest on a drug charge while on probation for a weapons charge.
AXE told the TMZ site simply, “We will no longer feature T.I. in our promotional campaign.”
He had signed with AXE earlier this year, but has been removed already from their web site.
In brighter news, of course, T.I. is credited with having talked a depressed young man off a ledge. The two reunited during a V-103 radio visit, during which T.I. waxed prophetic.
“All of the things we go through in life, they just prepare us for the next battle,” said the rapper and film star, who is headed back to prison soon to serve 11 more months.

T.I. – keep your head up. We all make mistakes. Yours are magnified in the public eye & held up to more scrutiny. God loves you & will see you through all of this & hopefully, this will make you an even better man. we are not defined by the number of breaths we take on this earth; we are defined by the moments that take our breath away. You, your talent have taken away many breaths & continue to do so. I am not a big fan of rap, but I do enjoy & admire your courage to do what you do. You have accepted responsibility for what you did. You stand up & that is the true measure of a man. Tiny is blessed to have you & you are blessed to have her. Continue to believe in you. Oh, BTW, I loved Takers – keep doing you & I will keep you & your family in my prayers. I am old enough to be your mother & I applaud you on your acocmplishments. And for those of you who may wish to make negative comments on what I have said – I don’t pay attention to naysayers – I know that we are all God’s children. Bottom line – opinions are like a**holes – everybody has got one.

Nobody feels sorry for this cat. You only have to sit in the penalty box for 11 months. It could have been three years. I have a brother that just got 10 years for basically doing the same stupid stuff you do. Sit in the can, collect your Takers money, do some push-ups and have a nice day.

I do not condone the illegal acts of T.I. or any other person, especially celebrities; however I am happy that he only has 11 months to serve for his recent setback. I believe this is as fair a sentence that he will ever get as a young black male that happens to be a celebrity.
Not to throw stones, but didn’t Paris Hilton just get community service for cocaine possession and then get PROBATION…only to be an accomplice to hit-and-run a week later.
People make mistakes, people learn. Some change, some don’t. I believe in the good a person does and T.I. has done A LOT more good than he has bad.Let him serve his time and we can move on.
T.I. you are in my prayers and I have a business opportunity for you when you are released.

TI like others (Lindsay Lohan) think they are above the law and because they have expensive celebrity lawyers and judges are lenient towards them, they get too much probation and little ‘jail time’. Must be nice to get to make their mistakes over and over again.

For those fools talking bout TI problems are magnafied cause he is a celeb keep the following in mind……For the amount of guns he was trying to purchase the average fool would have received 20yrs. TI’s celeb status got him 1yr + probation. Don’t be so quick to fuss about this fool being a celeb. There are 2 black sisters in Mississippi were both sentence to as teens to double murder for robbing a man of $11 and NO ONE WAS KILLED. They have already served 15yrs while the sentencing guidelines are now under review for their case. Convicted of murder & no one was killed or even harmed. Only in Miss or Tx, Only black kids.
Excuse me if I don’t feel bad for T.I.P and his light sentence.

I agree that TI should go to prison. The problem I have is with our flawed legal system where similar acts in different locations have totally different results. Leif Garret wonderboy singer from the past was just sentenced to rehab. He is a repeat offender. Put him in jail. Pro football player is in prison for shooting himself in a public place. Another pro football player hits and kills a pedestrian while under the influence and gets a slap on the wrist. Whats up with the system. It sucks so bad.

Everyone can talk about the wrong that T.I. has done, but what about Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohn. She always get slaps on the wrist for the stupid stuff she does, but she always walks away. The justice system and the public is real stupid because if you are going to be hard on celebrity than be hard on all. They just got into the same trouble T.I. did and they all walk away free.
People act like just because you are famous you are not human and you are. They make mistakes just like we do. The only difference is we are not on television like they are. Everyone should forgive and forget, because if you were in that situation you would want to be forgiving also.

T.I. I see all of your well-wishers are praying for you, but I must say, you need to do some reading and praying yourself. The “haters” of which many of your supporters criticise, appear to be the only voices of reason. Guess what? When much is given; much is required Clifford. Do you think you are success if the majority of your fans watch you continously go in and out of jail? Sing about redemption and go right back to what you always did–break the law? The parable of the talents seems to be a story you could learn from.

@Jazzyred…The reason he received a light sentence is cause he is a public figure. You would have received 20yrs baby. Humans make mistakes. A wise person learn from their mistakes. A stupid person keep making mistakes. A really stupid person keep making the SAME mistakes over and over and over and over again.

Until the laws and the criminal justice system are equated equally in every city and every state in the US, people will always disagree on the punishments that ALL people receive, including celebrities.

It seems like every time T.I. is at the top of his game, he does something stupid. His latest album is titled “Uncaged”, but he might want to rethink it…perhaps “Caged Again”. Yes, everyone makes mistakes, but if you are on parole, driving a maybach, making a u-turn, in the company of a felon and you have drugs on you…I think you deserve what you get. What bothers me most is the hypocrisy of him talking to kids about staying away from the very thing he continues to get caught using. Don’t compare his sentence with what happens with Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton…this is his own doing. How can someone who has everything continue to randomly throw it all away? There really aren’t any legitimate excuses this time. And I bet you a million bucks that there will be a next time…he just doesn’t get it…sorry.

Thank you Axe for being the few that finally holds people accountable for their actions. I can forgive a person for one big mistake, but to continue making bad judgements just because you feel that your stardom and fame will free you from them, is just being irresponsible and arrogant. I hope Andrew Young of Atlanta is listening. When are we going to stop putting people up on pedestal and get back to standing up for the right morals and values regardless of who a person is, and how much money they have. TI is very talented and he does good in the community, but like the ordinary citizen, he should be accountable for his actions or suffer consequences. He shouldn’t be hailed a hero.

Thanks MiMA, and I think you nailed it too. Andy Young has to distance himself from this character. He is a true civil rights legend, and he can’t afford to compromise all he has worked for, stood for and fought for for someone who can merely write and rap rhymes. I think the saddest thing is T.I. has kids..lots of them, and he is depriving them of a Father. Those are really the only kids he is accountable to as a role model, and he has failed miserably. On the other hand, they may be better off without him if this is the best he can do, and he can’t get his act together. Any parent who has convinced their child that T.I. is a role model needs a head check.

There is a major problem in our country, and the world for that matter. It seems that when people reach celebrity status that their ‘fans’ refuse to hold them accountable for their actions. Just because you love him, or think hes cute, or like his music, doesn’t mean that you dont hold him accountable. Alot of the reason why these celebrities continue to get in trouble is because some of you blind “fans” run right back to them, kiss their as#es, and talk about “no matter what, we still support you and love you”. GET REAL PEOPLE. This irresponsible man, and his irresponsible wife, HAVE KIDS!!!!! He didnt make a mistake, mistake is singular, and means one mess up. He a habitual mistake maker, he and his wife, and they need help. And people stop talking about keep god first, because he is not thinking about god with his behavior. There kids need them the most. What kind of example are you setting for your children when your always in trouble with the law. Just because they have a little money doesnt make them great parents. Kids need parents that are consistent role models and who can stay out of jail and off drugs, not parents who have money and can buy them nice clothes and video games. I feel more sorry for his children more than I do for he and his wife.

MPgordon and Seriously, you’re both right. Not only Andrew Young, but Shirley Franklin as well. She gave this fool the key to the city. Is that really what you want your city to be known for? Giving the key to the city to a person who raps about selling drugs, robbing, and killing people. Even our leaders are blind to the clebrity status. Please stand for something, your making kids around the world think its ok to act like these irresponsible people. And if you rap about robbing and killing, and then you go hand out turkeys on Thanksgiving to the homeless, and gifts on Christmas to the homeless, that doesnt validate you as a good person, your sending mixed messages. I dont buy that stuff and I never will. These rappers, and other irresponsible celebrities, think they can throw their money around with gifts during different seasons of the year, and that makes it ok. NO IT DOESNT. The negative messages that your sending through your music is doing more harm to young kids than the good of your turkey that will be ate within an hour or your gift that will get old in a few months. Im sorry, im a teacher, thats why im on my soapbox, but I see everyday what people like TI and others are doing to our kids and their parents to that matter who both look up to him as a role model, and yes some parents do look at him as a role model for them, sad to say…..

stop putting each other down for what we do wrong and so fast to over look the things we do right, Black people seem to go out of there way to hate when we have been hated on for so long in life. It is time that we learn to have, hold, and come together,if the truth is told on me and you there are things we all have done and got away with, and if someone knew what we done wrong how would we feel, just because we have not got caught do not make us any better than the next man, all i am trying to say is wrong will never be right, but right can become wrong, when not use right. if we put any man before God, and our earthly fathers, brothers, you wrong already, believe in yourself man, and no matter what come alone you will be ok, people lets make right, right, and stop the cheap hate talk about each other and pick up blk men in your life, i say if you fall get back up and try it again and if you fall again get back up and try to make it again, because if you do not get up you are dead. and by getting back up means lossing some people out of your life then they were never in your life to start man. when people walk out on you let them man, because you will meet better people as you go on your way.when right become wrong and wrong become right some in your life is really wrong.

A mistake would be if I pick up someone else’s keys and then try get in my car with them. But, bad decisions come when I pick up someone else’s keys and then try to steal their car. We all have dalily decisions that we make whether they are good or bad. But, TI as a GROWN MAN continues to make decisions that gets him into trouble. So, stop making excuses for him. She knew the circumstances her husband was released upon and she was getting high and partying with him as well. The high they should have been on should have been natural they just got married if you have to take a drug to enjoy one of the best moments in your life then I say maybe it wasn’t that great. I think she needs to come out and say you know he wasn’t by himself. But I do give him credit because this was about her not him so Tiny I hope you are happy your man is on his way back to jail for 11 months so the private plane ride you may take to see him off and all of that crying we don;t want to see it. If you would have perhaps kept your TV show and been involved you might not be in this predicament. Have a good Day

Hey T I you can fix a lot of things but you can’t fix stupid and that is why you are going back to the Pen. It is sad man because so many people look up to you, why are you so scared of the sucess you have. Come on man grow up. Why would you want to be in an enviroment where envy could get a brotha like you jackpotted. What kept you from doing a long stretch in the Pen for the weapons charge was divine intervention or something else that I won’t mention, but man you are one dumb dude.

the only thing ironic is that TI in all of his millions would prefer to stay locked up rather than living in his mansion. Sounds to me the irony is he would probably be happier in a trailer park or working at a fry station. That’s where he obviously belongs.

You sound so dumb. That’s the same rationale that gets so many brothas trapped in the system. As a result of constantly going back and forth to jail, when you get out you can’t even interview for jobs working at “fry stations and tiny cubicles.” Every black man wasn’t blessed with the talent to rap or play ball. The whole T.I. thing is almost cliche’. Anyone who thinks a negative post constitutes a “hater” is a moron. How can I be a “hater” and I am free as a bird? As I sit as a college educated MAN in my comfortable, modest home sipping green tea and typing..I am doing so as a FREE man. I don’t have the trappings of his success, or the figures in bank account, but I have something that is priceless…common sense, something he severely lacks. His decisions are the equivalent of a free man volunteering to be enslaved. He is locked up like an animal and controlled with no rights. He can’t make any decisions in prison from what he eats to when he eats, and hey..life is short. How nice is it to have a beautiful home you aren’t living in and nice cars you can’t drive? I truly hope people get so tired of his crap that he is not glorified whenever he gets out. Eventually he won’t be able to financially gain from all of his miscues.

I had high hopes for T.I. when he got out this last time. You can’t keep putting your hand in fire & think if you do it enough it won’t burn. Young people, you are to learn from your mistakes. Life is the greatest teacher. Things happen for a reason & that reason is to teach you in life. T.I. when the parents of one of the schools did not want you speaking to their children, I thought, T.I. has more influence over these kids than the parents & I was on your side, but until you can get your life together youngman, I think you need someone to talk to you. You have already beaten the odds, young, black & rich, why not add intelligent to that list. I am so tired of seeing all of these young, rich black men continue to destroy their lives with demons they need to let go of. Hopefully this will be his last time incarcerated because I don’t care how much money you have, you can NEVER get those days, months or years back you lost locked up. I am not even going to mention the kids not having you around. Wake up youngman, before it’s too late.

Would you think before you type? The point that I was trying to make, and anyone else that read my response understands is, too many black men are getting trapped up in the system and as a result lose the ability to be positive contributors to society. I wasn’t talking about YOU per se. I dont know you. I dont know where you work IF you work. Your comment about T.I. being able to do those 11 months easy was stupid. T.I, you’re lucky to hve rcvd the light sentences u hve rcvd for all your transgressions since becoming an entertainer. tis a shame you failed to take advntg of these chances and cont to brazenly flout the law. evry criminal caught says they’re sorry, but i wondr how much remorse u had when u decided to cont to usedrugs while on probabtion, or when u decided to make that illegal u-turn. know u are no role model, just another pampered entertainer who clearly thinks(thought)he was above the law. i’ve no patience nor sympathy for any1 who breaks the law not once, but 4x and expects, each time, to get special treatment. i’ll cont to listen to ur music, cause u are good at THAT.but will look at u w/sad eyes and a heavy heart, as anothet black man with a prison record in this society.

I have no comment to the article really, just my thoughts in hopes that T.I., his family, and friends may happen to read this.
T.I. for all of the publicized great things you do for others something tells me that you struggle within about your own greatness. And when all eyes are on you along with great responsibility you fight even harder to keep your head above water. Fame and fortune come at a price that some slowly but surely self destruct. For others fame and fortune are manageable for a life time. Take advantage of these next 9 months to reflect on what is your ‘true purpose of existence’, ‘what if truely important’, and what you ‘truely want for your future’ in this world. Spend the last 2 months mapping out how you will continue to manage these things for a life time.
Lastly, never forget that only you can define the person you are no one else can do that for you. Just remember, ‘Once The Man and Twice The Baby’. Life is so very short T.I.
Use your past to define your future. Enjoy life don’t let it enjoy you.
God Bless

Who is TI? Oh, that guy. Sorry, I don’t listen to rap. I see so many people looking up to him as a role model. Thank God that I am here for my children to show them a real example of a Godly man. I won’t pass judgement on him personally, but the culture he represents is destroying our youth. Gone are the values of the old days with all of the lessons that were handed down by the old folks. Wake up young people. Heaven and hell is real and the choice we make here now determines where you will spend ALL of you time once you leave this life. God is the only way…. seek Him. If this was any “Joe Blow” off the street would you guys be so forgiving? Yes we all make mistakes and sometimes we have to fall down to get back up. T.I for all your good deeds your bad ones truly out weigh them. What message are you sending to the youths who look up to you? You know what is right so why do you keep associating yourself around these individuals who seem to not care that you are the one suffering behind all the mishaps. Take sometime and and humble yourself and stop trying to be the “King” but be a servant so that you will appreciate all that you have been given.

I think T.I should have gotten the 6 years. I like his music but I am so sick and tired of people with money getting away with just a slap on the wrist. If it was the average working man he would still be in jail from the previous weapons charges. Not only TI but Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Little Wayne, gov. officials. Its so many more. If I was caught with cocaine, not once but a few times I’d be in jail. It just makes me sick. They do the crime they should do the time the the average person. I want to do something about this like protest but what good would it do.
