T.I. axed by AXE
The rapper T.I. has been canned by the AXE deodorant company, following his recent legal woes.
Known to the courthouse crowd as Clifford Harris, the entertainer is heading back to prison following an arrest on a drug charge while on probation for a weapons charge.
AXE told the TMZ site simply, “We will no longer feature T.I. in our promotional campaign.”
He had signed with AXE earlier this year, but has been removed already from their web site.
In brighter news, of course, T.I. is credited with having talked a depressed young man off a ledge. The two reunited during a V-103 radio visit, during which T.I. waxed prophetic.
“All of the things we go through in life, they just prepare us for the next battle,” said the rapper and film star, who is headed back to prison soon to serve 11 more months.

MPgordon and Seriously, you’re both right. Not only Andrew Young, but Shirley Franklin as well. She gave this fool the key to the city. Is that really what you want your city to be known for? Giving the key to the city to a person who raps about selling drugs, robbing, and killing people. Even our leaders are blind to the clebrity status. Please stand for something, your making kids around the world think its ok to act like these irresponsible people. And if you rap about robbing and killing, and then you go hand out turkeys on Thanksgiving to the homeless, and gifts on Christmas to the homeless, that doesnt validate you as a good person, your sending mixed messages. I dont buy that stuff and I never will. These rappers, and other irresponsible celebrities, think they can throw their money around with gifts during different seasons of the year, and that makes it ok. NO IT DOESNT. The negative messages that your sending through your music is doing more harm to young kids than the good of your turkey that will be ate within an hour or your gift that will get old in a few months. Im sorry, im a teacher, thats why im on my soapbox, but I see everyday what people like TI and others are doing to our kids and their parents to that matter who both look up to him as a role model, and yes some parents do look at him as a role model for them, sad to say…..

You tried to prove to the public before your last stint with the law that you are going to try to help young folk and you have learned from your mistakes. All of Atlanta doesn’t support him, that was so stupid he should feel bad had Andrew Young helping him. You that you’re already on probation and you still don’t see anything wrong. I would have stayed him my house with my family getting myself together not partying in the streets still, and our teens see this again. I hope that this time was a wake up call to him.

TI’s biggest mistake is thinking the federal system is like the state’s system. TI, the feds do not play. Think Martha Stewart, and other billionaires who they locked up without batting an eye. When you get out again they will watch much more closely. Be warned.

I wish people stop using the word MISTAKE when talking about TI. This brother didn’t make another mistake, he made another bad decision. A mistake would be if I pick up someone else’s keys and then try get in my car with them. But, bad decisions come when I pick up someone else’s keys and then try to steal their car. We all have dalily decisions that we make whether they are good or bad. But, TI as a GROWN MAN continues to make decisions that gets him into trouble. So, stop making excuses for him. Live and learn, hopefully he has learned a lesson as well as his wife. Even though he was arrested I think his wife should be rediculed as well. She knew the circumstances her husband was released upon and she was getting high and partying with him as well. The high they should have been on should have been natural they just got married if you have to take a drug to enjoy one of the best moments in your life then I say maybe it wasn’t that great. I think she needs to come out and say you know he wasn’t by himself. But I do give him credit because this was about her not him so Tiny I hope you are happy your man is on his way back to jail for 11 months so the private plane ride you may take to see him off and all of that crying we don;t want to see it. The whole T.I. thing is almost cliche’. Anyone who thinks a negative post constitutes a “hater” is a moron. How can I be a “hater” and I am free as a bird? As I sit as a college educated MAN in my comfortable, modest home sipping green tea and typing..I am doing so as a FREE man. I don’t have the trappings of his success, or the figures in bank account, but I have something that is priceless…common sense, something he severely lacks. His decisions are the equivalent of a free man volunteering to be enslaved. He is locked up like an animal and controlled with no rights. He can’t make any decisions in prison from what he eats to when he eats, and hey..life is short. How nice is it to have a beautiful home you aren’t living in and nice cars you can’t drive? I truly hope people get so tired of his crap that he is not glorified whenever he gets out. Eventually he won’t be able to financially gain from all of his miscues.

I had high hopes for T.I. when he got out this last time. You can’t keep putting your hand in fire & think if you do it enough it won’t burn. Young people, you are to learn from your mistakes. Life is the greatest teacher. Things happen for a reason & that reason is to teach you in life. T.I. when the parents of one of the schools did not want you speaking to their children, I thought, T.I. has more influence over these kids than the parents & I was on your side, but until you can get your life together youngman, I think you need someone to talk to you. You have already beaten the odds, young, black & rich, why not add intelligent to that list. I am so tired of seeing all of these young, rich black men continue to destroy their lives with demons they need to let go of. Hopefully this will be his last time incarcerated because I don’t care how much money you have, you can NEVER get those days, months or years back you lost locked up. I have no comment to the article really, just my thoughts in hopes that T.I., his family, and friends may happen to read this.
T.I. for all of the publicized great things you do for others something tells me that you struggle within about your own greatness. And when all eyes are on you along with great responsibility you fight even harder to keep your head above water. Fame and fortune come at a price that some slowly but surely self destruct. For others fame and fortune are manageable for a life time. Take advantage of these next 9 months to reflect on what is your ‘true purpose of existence’, ‘what if truely important’, and what you ‘truely want for your future’ in this world. Spend the last 2 months mapping out how you will continue to manage these things for a life time.
Lastly, never forget that only you can define the person you are no one else can do that for you. Just remember, ‘Once The Man and Twice The Baby’. Life is so very short T.I.
Use your past to define your future. Enjoy life don’t let it enjoy you.
