Authorities say that several pills found on the Grammy award winner and his new wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were a type of ecstasy, a drug used at raves and clubs to enhance sense of self-confidence and energy.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman said the pills were found on T.I. and Cottle, and not in the Maybach luxury car they were in. T.I. was on probation on a federal weapons charge when he was stopped on a Hollywood street after making an illegal U-turn.
His lawyers had told the AJC that T.I., also known as Clifford Harris Jr., was going to return to Atlanta to meet his federal probation officer and possibly the judge who agreed to his unusual sentence after he pleaded guilty to gun charges.
