President Barack Obama sits down with the ladies of “The View” this morning at 11 a.m. on Channel 2.
Will you be watching?
The visit has already been taped, and details are under wraps. Not everyone is thrilled about the leader of the free world joining a daytime coffee klatch. None other than former View co-host Rosie O’Donnell criticized the decision.
“I have mixed feelings about that. I don’t really think sitting presidents should go do fluffy daytime TV shows,” she said in comments quoted on a number of Web sites. “Maybe an hour on ‘Oprah’ or something…I don’t really want to see him on ‘The View’.”
What do you think?
C-host Joy Behar told CNN that Obama was “charming as usual” and added “We had some laughs with him.”
Behar also has a show on CNN’s spinoff channel HLN.
Obama said he chose to appear in the program because First Lady Michelle Obama is a fan. He has appeared on the show before.
“Look, I was trying to find a show that Michelle actually watched, and so I thought this is it, right here,” he said, according to a snippet provided by ABC.

Interesting, how in eight years of Bush; lying about weapons of mass destruction so he could send our troops to Iraq to get maimed and killed; ignoring hurricane ravaged American citizens in New Orleans because he had surrounded himself with idiots and nitwits; and putting in motion the process to bailout his croonies on Wallstreet, none of you had anything to say. I’m currently watching him on the View show. These lady’s are asking him good nation wide questions that affect all of us no matter where you live. All of use are the people of the United States of America. This is a great opportunity for the American people to see him live, answer questions from four different American women. It’s sad that people will never be satisfied with what our president does, and will always be skeptical of his intentions. Maybe just once, instead of doubting his actions, you people can try to trust him. Most people here who are criticizing him have never given him a chance. What do you all think anyone else could have done to fix the economy or the oil spill? Nothing more than what the President is doing now. As far as going on The View is concerned – why is that such a big deal? He spent a few hours away from Washington. So what?! Bush spent more time on his ranch in Texas than he did in Washington. With all the hatred and criticisms he’s having to deal with coming from you all in Washington, I say he needs some time off to do something different. Just stop being so negative all the time. This country needs some positivity.

He is just doing this for votes. He never does anything else but run around and show for votes. He should try actually doing his job. Everything he does is for show. His health care plan is still be challenged and will most likely get the boot when the republicans take the house back over in November. He was a day late and a dollar short on the oil spill and not shutting down the Jones act to let other countries help. He has done nothing for unemployment. He still has an ugly war he said he was going to get out of. He is about to raise taxes sky high, entitlements are sick. He is a child trying to run a mans machine. I will not and do not watch the view anyway. I work for a living. Must be nice to be able to sit home and watch TV all day.

NO!!!!! He does not need to do the view, or playing basketball, golf or vacationing in the Panhandle in August. How many vacations will this be for him. I need a President that works and wants our country to improve. Not one that is interested in his star qualities. Nothing ever ceases to amaze me with this president. My opinion is it will not be long and we will be a socialist country or ran by a dictator.

Personally, I don’t watch “The View” but Mr. President is HOT! I wish I had known he was going to be a guest on the show and I would have tuned in. The President was voted to the Highest position of the USA; as our leader. Which means he should hold himself to those standards. He should also put our nations best interest as top priority. Addressing our countries 45, 000 children on a monumental anniversary should have been more important than chatting with a bunch of “Gossip Queens”. Not only that, their was no excuse for him not addressing the Boy Scouts since this showing of THE VIEW was taped in advance. He already upset me by not visiting Arlington.
Its unprofessional, selfish, and just plain wrong. Thanks President for once again failing us…to put yourself first. What a sacrifice.

Oh how Obama used a network to continue his lies and half-truths – while the whole time Joy, Barbra and company all fawned over him. What a set – and an embarrassment for a setting president to lower the Office standards. To commentators like Wendy who said “he got elected; Obama only got elected by the special interest groups that he claimed he had a disliking for (that is “special interest” groups) – The only reason he won is he got 98% of the black vote – who ONLY voted for him because he was black (is that not a sort of racism in itself?), got most, if not all, of the gay vote, environmentalist (yes – “mental” is in there alright), feminist vote, and much of the Hispanic vote (why do you think he is so opposed to ENFORCING Federal law – or the “rule of law” that he claims should always be followed?).
