NeNe’s new job – as a morning-show personality
Those of us in the media have a big time chronicling the “Housewives,” and now one of them seems to be joining us.
NeNe Leakes “will be joining the 11Alive morning crew this summer. She’ll be bringing her fun and sense of humor to some great entertainment and feature segments,” the station said.
We just got word that the Housewives will be shooting scenes for the upcoming season on Bravo tonight at Twist, if you’d like to stop by and gawk.
Leakes herself has been newsworthy lately, showing up at an event sporting a new nose. It’s unclear whether she’ll be discussing that on air, but if you miss her on WXIA you can catch her on Bravo.
“Her work at 11Alive will be documented by Bravo and part of the upcoming fall season of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ ” the station’s statement continued.
Leakes is already a published author, remember.

Maybe Miss Shenaynay can do a feature story on how to pretend you have a lot of money, how to spend what little money you have on weaves and wigs, and how not to pay your mortgage. She and the other housewives seem to have a lot of experience with that. OH, NO HE DITN’T!!!!!!!!

All I can say us wow, I hope the producer of her segment really represents her well, because Ne-Ne doesn’t, nor is she a good representative of my culture, my race or my city. I hope she uses this platform to redeem her image, and not make a mockery of the title journalist.

I am not a hater, just believe there is a place for everything. In todays economy no one wants to read that an unskilled , former stripper with a loud mouth is landing a job which should go to someone more deserving…….degree….experience etc..
It is a step down for channel 11 as Real Housewives is a disgrace to the Real Women of Atlanta.

I am honestly not believing the hate that is being dished out right now. Everyine that do not like NENE sure can not stop talking about her. WOW!! So what she got a job on the TV news. NEXT. Anyone who says she is a classy lady is a complete and total idiot. The fact that she was a stripper makes me want to throw up. I’d flipping pay her to keep her clothes on! She got this job because a bunch of low rent morons actually watch her show – it has NOTHING to do with her “talent” as some of you are putting it. Her talent was taking her clothes off for men who must have either been blind or just attracted to nasty hookers. Anyone who looks up to her in any way should be removed from the gene pool because they are dragging the rest of us down.

Its none your business what this woman does with her life, everyone that are posting mean and hurtful things need to mind their own business. Ne Ne is where she is because of ratings and people like you who are watching her, you have to be watching her in order to form an opinion about her. To the ones who have degrees and did not get the job at 11 alive maybe it takes more than a degree to land a job, maybe you need a personality to go with it. It just goes to show that having an degree does not guarantee you a job.

One way or another the white man will find a way to keep the Minstral show going. This is how white peole see black women and black people in general as loud, bafoons. This started 400 years ago and as we can see it is still alive and well today. I don’t like it and I know you haveto get inwhere you fit in and if this woman has to make her money by being a clown that is her business. I’m sure they could have found someone more qualified with the unemployment rate here in GA. NeNe is not a “must see” type of person nor a fun personality like Neicy Nash and the likes. She is just plain annoying and will send channel 11 to an early grave with their ratings.

Channel 11 obviously needs a large ratings boost. We all know that some people are fascinated by train wrecks and negative news, in general. I can’t think of a bigger train wreck or negative news than NeNe. Channel 11 is looking to boost its demographic ratings, if you understand my meaning. I don’t currently watch Ch 11, and I do not plan to in the future. This news is just to sad.
