So what if her sketchy husband has grabbed headlines with his tatted-up honey lately? Oscar winner Sandra Bullock has reason to celebrate: she is a mom.
People mag has the story of the part-time Tybee Island resident’s new love. Louis Bardo Bullock, born just over three months ago in New Orleans, joined her and estranged husband Jesse James in January but it’s been kept quiet until now.
Bullock, whose husband’s extracurricular dalliances have been much in the news lately, is adopting as a single parent.

This came totally out of left field. How was this kept private for so long? Especially with the paps camping out everywhere.
Oh yeah…. first? lol

Guess what, dumb-dumb. There are PLENTY of babies to go around, unfortunately. Why do you think they’re up for adoption in the 1st place? Just be glad this baby has a home.

@lurker:
actually, african-american babies have a much harder time getting adopted in the u.s. than any other race or ethnicity. (and the rise in adopting kids from overseas is in part a response to this lesser interesting in african-american kids.) if more white americans — who make up a disproportionately large percentage of the pool aspiring adopters here — were interested in these children, they wouldn’t languish in orphanages and other institutions. i think it’s great. good for you, sandra, and good for that baby who now has a loving parent!

Good luck to Sandra and her new son. Being a parent is wonderful and brings it’s own experiences.
After the crap she’s been handed from her unfaithful husband, she deserves to have happiness in her life.

So much ignorance in this country (Larker’s comment). 1) There are more african american babies for adoption in this country than there are parents to adopt them, regardless of the parents’ race 2) it totally depends on if you adopt through the state or via a private agency – going through the state requires you to jump through a ton of hoops while private adoptions don’t – a lot of parents don’t meet the requirements to adopt through the state and can’t afford private adoption 3) maybe she WANTED a minority child. Anyway, wouldn’t it be totally weird if he ends up being a super athlete like the character she played in “The Blind Side”? I am so happy for her and I hope this helps others see how open minded we should all be!

First, not that this means anything, but I’m a black female. I don’t think being interested in Nazis necessarily makes one a racist. Nazis are interesting to me, that doesn’t mean that I like them or agree with ANY of the philosophies.
Second, I don’t have a problem with interracial adoption. I do think that it is important NOT to say that race doesn’t matter, because that simply isn’t true. Race is NOT everything, but you cannot completely dismiss it either. I think that ALL parents should do their best to expose their children to as many types of races/cultures as possible and interracial adoptive parents should make sure that their child has some exposure to the culture/race that the child belongs to.
No matter how much we say race doesn’t matter, it does. I wish saying it would make race issues go away, but it doesn’t. I think that the only way to get truly make race “not matter” is through exposure and interaction in order to gain acceptance and understanding.
Just my two cents.

Has anyone asked, after the “emotional heartbreak, etc, etc that she must be going through”, if she is mentally ready to make such a decision impacting so many others?
And by the way, will she be asking Jesse for child support?

Celebrity’s go and adopt kids like they would a puppy. Some nanny will be raising this kid that will have a better life but grow up to be a weirdo like celebrity’s..

How very sad. This baby was brought home before the Oscars and before the scandal. Sandra had her entire world ripped out from under her. Jesse cheating and humiliating Sandra just a few weeks after bringing home a new baby makes this whole mess even worse. As for those 15 minutes of fame seeking hoes, karma is a biotch ladies. You did more than break up a family by going public with the story. You made it impossible for them to even try to work out the marriage in private. All those hoes acting like Jesse opened up to them and told them everything..Bombshell, Bombshell, you know nothing obviously because the adopted baby story would have made you more rich than the web porn and stripping you have no choice to resort to to doing.

Maybe some celebs’ adopt to be “in” & it’s the “in” thing to do. But Sandra loves kids,as you tell by the way she took care of Jesse’s. I wish her alot of love & luck. That’s one lucky kid !

The sad thing is that if she was adopting as a regular person and she and her husband split in the middle of it, the adoption would not go through. If you are a celebrity then all of the rules change….so sad for regular non-celebrities. Glad that she has a baby and that it will not end up in foster care.

I tell what this kid will not want for anything shoo i wish she would take me too. Besides at least she got a kid from here not another country like those other people do because we have millions of kids in foster care who needs home and most of them black but i dont see none of the rich blacks adopting any of them. No the rich blacks rather have mixed pretty good hair babies instead.

Why am I not surprised that Nazi wannabe, Jesse James, and his wife Sandra Bullock who clearly knew about it and the Nazi memorabilia that he/they proudly displayed in their marital home, have now adopted a Black child.
God only knows what terrible issues they will give this child in life. And how hilarious that the media in the US is attempting this elephant in the room. Head in the clouds, comme d’habitude.
