Atlanta ‘Men of Style’ honored

vivicaSeveral notable Atlanta men were honored this week during the “Men of Style” Awards. The event, held at the Geisha House in Atlantic Station, was hosted by actress Vivica Fox (who looked fab in a short, fitted black dress!) as well as Atlantans Kenny Burns and Fonzeworth Bentley. The awards were part of Gillette Fusion’s MVP Prime Time 5-city tour, which ends today with some stops in local barbershops.

Folks, keep in mind that just because these awards were entitled “Men Of Style” – we do not know what the honoree categories were. Nowhere in this spiel is FASHION mentioned, so you can stop asking yourself the same questions I was.

It’s sponsored by Gillette and all the honorees are in media/entertainment. Clearly, it wasn’t a “10 Most Fashionable” event.

Um Ok

I would like to see more companies get involved in the Urban community the way Gillette has done with The Men Of Style Awards. Even if the event was sponsored by the community, what better judge is there than the people who support the purchase of male beauty products. Gillette followed up this event with an grand slam at The Arena Barbershop in Atlanta GA. More images can be seen on the entertainmnentreporters freelance journalist website. Attendees include: Fonzworth Bentley, Vivica Fox, Jamie Foster Brown (Sister2Sister), Eric Matthews (Green Bay Packers), Pree Dammond, Kenny Burns, John Spike, and Angelo Taylor (Olympic Gold Medalist), and a lot more.
