Marshall Chiles, owner of the former Funny Farm in Roswell, said he’s found a new location for the standup comedy club inside Andretti Indoor Karting & Games (11000 Alpharetta Hwy., Roswell, GA 30076).
Originally at Startime Entertainment, the club closed earlier this year after eight years when the entire complex (which included a bar and arcade) shut down. Chiles said the comedy club portion was doing well but couldn’t carry the rest of the operation.
Once he gets all the permits, Chiles hopes to re-open the Funny Farm next month. He’ll provide details of who the first acts will be and what the official launch date will be soon.
Chiles has since opened the much smaller Midtown club the Laughing Skull Lounge, which seats about 80 people (vs. more than 200 at the Funny Farm.) He plans to keep that open even when the Funny Farm returns.
