Ok..I know that UGA already hired a coach..but what about looking at some of the High School coaches here in the state. I mean..things can only go up right? The coaches here in the state already know the good players here and would likely have a better chance to keep the best players here in the state. I get so sick of seeing all the talent here in GA going outta state (ie..the North Carolina State pipeline, Sharraud Curry in Providence, Jodie Meeks at UK, just to name a few).

Sure, having a high school coach wouldn’t be the glossy fancy hire, but good grief, UGA hasn’t had a glossy fancy program in years.

Does it matter what color the coach is? You Racist morons get on my nerves. Just because TM is black and he recommends black coachs, he’s racists. Terence…you are such a racist pig! I knew that when Georgia hired a white coach that you will flip out! Tubby is doing fine at Minnesota. Anderson didn’t want to come. Clemson’s coach and Miami’s coach both suck! Fox is a great hire. You would have loved Redd Fox better wouldn’t you? You know why? He’s black! Guess what? Georgia hired Mark Fox! Get over it! Quit being so freakin racist. One more thing…I’ll just go ahead and get it out of my system because I know you’ll be writing about this sometime down the road. The Braves will suck with TP as the manager. UGA will suck with Rodney Gardner as head coach. Neither one will be the best choice. Just so you know.

Hey Moore, I can’t disagree that I’d love to see Tubby back. But what I really wonder is what you would say about the Georgia basketball hire if Fox was a minority.

I was a student at UGA when Tubby coached. You are right – Tubby turned UGA into a basketball town for 2 years. However, you forget. Tubby turned his back on UGA and left for another SEC school. Based on that, he can’t come back.

I think Tubby is UGA’s best option, if he’ll come back (which is basically like admitting he made a mistake by leaving the first time). An offer to Chapel will only get him a raise @ Oklahoma or he’ll take the same (or more) money to coach @ Arizona. As for Robinson, if Obama wasn’t his brother-in-law, no one would care that Oregon St. won 7 Pac-10 games last year.

Was this a summer league they played for Brown? Perhaps Mr. Moore could use some time in the Oregon State locker room with (English) Coach Robinson. Pitiful. Also, Damon Evans – splendid? Hmmmph. Jeremy Foley – splendid. Why? Two NC’s in football and basketball in 5 years, that’s why. Just the facts.

Some folks commented on Tubby’s class. Wouldn’t that preclude him from taking a job at Jorja — please see Mr. Classy Tan Forhead CMR’s ordering of the team to vacate the sideline after scoring against UF.

It never ceases to amaze me the overinflated sense of self-worth that UGA people have….seriously people, that “school” is nothing to be proud of. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Only thing coming out of there is frat boy clones (look for the Blago haircut), townies, and/or people obsessed with sports success as a proxy for real success.
