Enjoy your heaping helping of schadenfreude, Terrence Moore. Bobby Bowden has done more things for more people in his career than you or any of these other pilers-on will ever do in your miserable lives. You live to criticize, to tear down, and publicly humiliate all that you see fit, and that’s why no one takes you seriously. The squeaky wheel in this case gets ignored, as you should be. If we all ignore you, maybe you’ll go away, back under the rock you crawled out from under.

To all those posters who feel FSU got what they deserve. I suppose if an employee at your jobsite was busted for stealing from the company it would be ok to deduct a fine from not only him but your and other coworkers paycheck.Would that be fair to you??? Would you not cry and complain? What these boys did was wrong. But why should Bobby be punished as he was unaware of the acts. Or Myron Rolle, who won a Rhodes scholarship. Is it fair to them??? Or any of the other fine students and players who don’t cheat? Other posters have said this happens at many schools. They are right. The answer doesn’t lie in punishing the innocent players for what some other players have done. The answer lies within the NCAA. The players involved should have their careers taken from them. And especially their scholarships. But the innocent players should not be punished.

How convenient that everyone completely overlooks that so they can bash Bowden.

you could easily replace Florida State with the University of Georgia and have essentially the same article… wonder how many arrests will be made in Athens this year… or how many charges will be dropped because a Dawg is in trouble..

All of you are jealous of FSU. Their athletic program! Their campus life! Their academics! Their HOT A$$ woman! Their Football team! Its a great place to go to school!

Its pretty sad you hillbunks from the SEC feel the need to hate on FSU, since you are so unhappy with your inbred schools. I’d be upset if I was a UGA fan too. 1980….seriously?!?!? Thats a loooong time ago.

As a former FSU football player, those attacking Coach Bowden personally are out of line, uninformed, and flat out incorrect. The person stating that FSU academics are a joke is using anecdotal evidence purportedly from a current FSU football player. Attention! There may be athletes that cheat, there may be other students that cheat, and if there are then guess what? There are cheaters everywhere and they should be reprmanded if caught. Which they were in the FSU case.

Yes, the recent scandal is unfortunate. However, both FSU and the NCAA found that there was NOT a loss of institutional control. If one took the time to read the report they would cease ad hominem attacks on Coach Bowden. Yes, there is NCAA precedent that is in FSU’s favor. Wins SHOULD NOT be vacated.

As far as the Peter Warrick, Janikowski, “Free Shoes University” incidents–yes, there have been players that broke rules and laws. They were punished by either Coach Bowden or the justice system. To actually write this op-ed about FSU and imply that other programs are squeaky clean by comparison is laughable and absurd. To denegrate Coach Bowden personally is a reflection on your character. Let’s try to view the situation through a broader lense with a tad more objectivity.

I played with the finest coach in the country and some of the best teammates a football player could have. I did not cheat. Nor did my teammates. Coach Bowden did NOT and does NOT curse in practice. Coach Bownden DOES coach. And I wear a nice, shiny, National Championship ring. Undefeated. #1 Wire to Wire (no other team has ever accomplished this). We put a whuppin’ on many of your teams, and we will again.

Try to withhold those stones.
