Happy Holidays Tech Fans

Greetings from sunny Tampa.  Just spent a few days at Disney with the kids and in-laws.  While chilly, it wasn’t nearly as cold as back in Atlanta.

The blog may be slow until we get closer to the bowl game.  There just isn’t much to write about since Coach Hewitt and the hoops team still haven’t seemed to turn the corner.  The overtime loss to the Noles recently was tough to take, since I’m in the midst of all my FSU in-laws.  Luckily for me, they don’t really pay attention to basketball.

But then…I can’t say too much.  I’ve pretty much lost interest in hoops as well.  Its a sad commentary from a person who used to actually have season tickets and lived and died with this team through the 2004 NCAA run.  My oldest daughter was born right at the beginning of that year’s tourney and I spent all those games holding her in my lap while rubbing her head for good luck.

I haven’t watched a single minute of GT hoops this season…and I don’t miss it.  That’s sad.  I chalk it up to early NBA defections and the lack of identity in GT hoops for the past few seasons.

And if Hewitt doesn’t want fans to lose even more interest, he needs to show us some results this season and start recruiting players that stick with the team and develop…I’ve had enough of these guys leaving early, it wrecks any sense of identity and cohesion in the program…

To Mr. Charlotte Mutt, please go back to where you once came. And for the record, when Muttland won the SEC Championship back in 2002, you lost to your biggets rival…not Tech, but Florida. So let’s add another SEC Championship to the Gators tally.

And when Muttland won the SEC Championship in 2005, Muttland lost to your two biggest rivals, both Florida and Auburn. I call that a co-conference championship for the Gators and the Tigers.

Now Tech loses to Muttland on its way to an ACC Championship, but somehow you back benchers now feel beating Tech is important, again? You even say you are ACC Champs? How disingenuous can you get?

All I have to say to you is to always remember and never forget, God has a sense of humor.

You people never cease to amaze me…

TDone(or Chris),

You seem annoyed. Rest assured that we Bulldog fans will probably pipe down in a month or two….unlike some tech fans that continuously ruined our blogs for an entire year.

And that’s right buddy We pretty much are the ACC Champs Thank you for reminding me.

Comparing GT and UGA 2009

Hey Charlotte Dawg – Georgia has a 7 – 5 record, 4 – 4 and third in the SEC East (behind Tennessee), going to the Independence Bowl, unranked in any poll. Georgia Tech has an 11 – 2 record, ACC Champions, going to the Orange Bowl, and ranked 9th in the BCS. Which team had the better year?

I would say that the “Dawgs” are more obsessed with Georgia Tech than Georgia Tech is obsessed with Georgia. Apparently, beating Tech has defined Georgia’s season. I admit that it would have been nice to beat Georgia this year, but it really was not that important of a game for Tech. Tech still won the ACC Championship, is ranked 9th in the BCS and is playing in the Orange Bowl. However, Georgia is unranked, is going to the Independence Bowl and is generally irrelevent on the national scene.

How is that Tech Recruiting class going??? HA HA HA HA HA. How good is Johnson going to be when he doesn’t have another coach’s players. He plays it up like a “spread offense” lol. What an idiot! He whines like a bi*ch! The GENIUS ON NORTH AVE! Fat Johnson couldn’t sign Nesbit or Dwyer! They came with the promise of a pro style offense and the opp to play early. Tech likes to think he is going to go out and get better talent than at NAVY? What stud H.S. player in this state wants to play for that Offense? ITS THE JIMMYS and the JOES! Don’t get me started on their defense! No Dwyer, No Nesbit, and nobody jumping on the Tech bandwagon that got its wheels burst Thanksgiving weekend by the true program in the state. UGA took its knocks this year. I RUN THIS STATE! Nerds. Johnson is a douche, Orange bowl will draw the LOWEST ratings of the bowl season.

Listen, I’m a ramblin’ recluse from Grusha Tech. I’d be willing to bet that Tech would have beaten Georgia if the game was played on a channel other than ABC. I had to be a recluse from Tech that night because I’ve seen something on ABC that offended the limited amount of morals I have very much. Accordingly I boycott ABC, a network I consider to be dishonorably discharged from Tech broadcasts. Besides, CBS sports is the logo at the bottom of ramblinwreck.com, so why not have the game played on CBS? I do believe that if I would have watched the game from my recluse location, my alma mater would have won. Every game I’ve watched this year Tech has won. So if anybody is willing to take me up on my prediction for next year’s game, we’ll see who will win.

December 23rd, 2009

It’s important to beat Tech in one regard TDone. So you nat azzholes have to scoop Uga’s poop for the next 365 days. That’s about the only reason since it’s not much of a rivalry when one of the teams can manage a win once a decade or so.

December 23rd, 2009

We just like kicking your azzes and then rubbing your faces in it. You earn every bit of it too with your sniveling, whining, and NC level excuse making year after year after year. You’re Tech. Deal with it. It’s always same ole same ole with GT. You should be used to that by now.

Hey Chris, I am with you re: Tech basketball. I watched MSU and Texas last night, two teams coached by coaches that have a clue about team offense, taking care of the ball (limit turnovers) and owning the defensive board. The final four team was loaded with great guards, Jack, Elder and Bynum. We haven’t had decent guard play since.

Hewitt sucks, his players never get better from their freshmen year to senior, he can’t develop. Nor does he learn from his own mistakes. The wholesale substitutions? Why? It kills rthym, so Hewitt tells us he doesn’t believe in rthym. Apparentely he also doesn’t beleive in winning. Besides the wholesale substitutions, he specifically looks for whoever is playing the best, on a hot streak or whatever, and takes that player out. Why? Because in Hewitt’s world, there is no rthym, even though actual winning coaches believe in it.

Hewitt sucks, and if he can’t win against Florida State with this level of talent, it’s time to give him the boot. We’ll lose more revenue over the next few years from having a crappy coach then we will lose buying out his contract. I curse Braine for that 10 year extension, that was nuts! Show a coach respect with a couple extra years, or a salary bump, but a freaking decade?!?

Charlotte Mutt,

Your kidding, right? Mutt fans have been ruining Tech blogs for as long as they have existed and that is never going to change. Go back 18 months when the mutts were ranked #1 in the nation and GT was expected to win 3 games and check some of the GT blogs. You will see that even under those circumstances that mutt fan were obsessed with GT and it’s fans. I’m sure a few GT fans thought payback was in order, good for them. Truth is, GT is not and will never be irrelevant in the eyes of mutt fans (even though they like to say that). Your presence on our blogs proves that.

Another interesting day on the blogs….NOT. Is there a place you can go to actually talk about sports instead of listening to a bunch of insecure losers who live vicariously through the 18 year olds that play for the school they may or may not have actually attended?

To Charlotte Dawg,

Me…annoyed, surely you just, and I will continue to call you Charlotte.

The next time I become obsessed or annoyed with you will be the first time it has ever happened.

The problem you have now is that your little game has now been exposed. You folks now have top of the mind awareness of Tech and you are doing a very bad job of dealing with it. You can never go back to talking about Florida, Auburn, or Tennessee being your #1 rival. Your #1 rival is now a team from the ACC!!!

You have now set a line of demarcation that you will have to live with for the rest of your days on earth.

In retrospect, Tech may have lost the battle, but we won the war, plus an ACC Championship to boot.

And by the way, Tech had a better ACC record than Muttland in 2009. I think that is why you will be staying Bossier City next week.

God Bless America!!!

Silly Tech fans. How does it feel to have your championship year spoiled by the team you love to hate? Burns don’t it!? How much sweeter would this year have been if you could have only beaten the 6-5 Georgia Bulldogs? Glad it still hurts so bad(m, 2009-2009)

And you say God Bless America but with you being a Tech fan, I’m not ready to assume you are an American.

I know Tech was pitiful in reality this year, but how could they not have a better ACC record than my Bulldogs?

Perhaps you were so upset that you got carried away and typed ACC in error instead of SEC.

If so, again, you are pathetic. Beating teams like MSU and Vandy are not things to boast about! Vanderbilt took the ACC champs down to the wire…VAN DER BILT! What does that tell you TDone(or Chris)?

One of the good things about living in Charlotte is that there are not many Tech fans around. But I won’t see any when I go home….they’ll all be in hiding.

Oliver Stone is talking with CPJ about a possible feature film on the Nesbitt leg incident. There are several reliable sources that indicate this conspiracy was years in the making and could go all the way to the top. I personally know a guy who knows a lady who knows a guy that was on the sidelines when Richt gave the order to intentionally injure Nesbitt. This source tells me that he is in hiding because he fears that efforts could be made to hush him, PERMANENTLY. I am probably putting myself at risk by divulging this information, but the truth must prevail!!!

There is no way UGA could have beat us without cheating. Its the only possible explanation. We beat up on Wake Forest and Duke and won the ACC. We are invicible if everyone plays fair.
Trust no one.

“Orange bowl will draw the LOWEST ratings of the bowl season.”

Wow, they give out the GOOD pills in Athens! What seems to hurt is that your claim to being the best team in your own state is only conjecture EVEN after beating us. Sure, you’re in the big, bad SEC, but would you really have beaten UNC, VT, or even FSU? Talk about the ACC when you start playing the ACC. Look, just handle your Big 12 team in the bowl and prove your season has been worth anything. Meanwhile, yes, we’ll be in Miami on a big stage playing a team that made a title run and had their QB hurt (he’ll be back when they play us). Not only will it be watched and attended, but when Tech wins, get ready for our pre-season rank to prove that national perception has shifted away from the Athens. The attention will be on Tech next year as it is right now. THAT is the shift that is so frustrating to you guys. “we won we won!”, you yell. But the nation didn’t care. Tech to the Orange Bowl and into the spotlight. Get used to it.

December 23rd, 2009
3:11 pm

So how is it that GT always gets more out of its 2, 3 and 4 star rated recruits than UGA gets out of it’s top ten recruiting classes – no matter who the coaches are? Before knocking CPJ Dawg bloggers, think real hard about what he’s done in two years with players that weren’t recruited by him for his system. Because CPJ is a superior coach, GT will now start to get consistantly higher rated recuiting classes and will do more and go further year in and year out than his counterpart in Athens. In fact, and I’ll say it again so everyone knows who and when it was said, GT with CPJ as its coach will win a National Championship before CPR and his puppies do (if they ever do?)… Bank On It! Go Jackets!!!

“Sure, you’re in the big, bad SEC, but would you really have beaten UNC, VT, or even FSU? Talk about the ACC when you start playing the ACC.”

Georgia ran all over Tech. South Carolina pounded Clemson 34-17. Georgia beat South Carolina.

I think Georgia would do fine in the All Cupcake Conference since they are better than the two wimps that won their sides of the ACC and then met in Tampa for the ultimate prize…the coveted ACC championship

Whiskey, 30-24 is not conjecture, it is called a final score. Conjecture is claiming you are a better team when a final score, such as 30-24, says otherwise. That is also known as stupidity. Here’s an idea Tech fans: If you want to be better than 6-5 teams perhaps your team should consider beating them on that little thing we call a football field. Just a thought. Take Advil for headaches.

T-Man, that’s just CONJECTURE. Know what’s not conjecture? Wait for it……30-24.

If only Georgia Tech could do something about all of Mark Richt’s supposedly disappoining recruits instead of running their big mouths about it on the internet. Mark Richt=8-1 vs. The Joke By Coke. I’d say those recruits are doing just fine as far as Tech fans should be concerned.

Tech fans=All mouth with absolutely NOTHING to back it up.

No one said anything about S Carolina or anyone else. I was talking ONLY about UGA. Talk SEC v. ACC all you want, but I was talking UGA versus the ACC in order to highlight how stupid the “we’re the ACC champs” argument is. Don’t talk about teams you didn’t play. This is why we need to be back in the same conference.

Sure, you got us on that night. By a whole TD or one dropped pass, depending on your point of view. But we’re somehow supposed to think our team is worse (or rather DOING worse) because of it? No. Sorry. If the idea is that UGA beat Tech this year when they played, then of course. But if the idea is that UGA should be revered by Tech fans for being the better team and that we all suck and are stupid for supporting Tech, then the coaches’ poll, the media polls and a handful of computers beg to differ. Yes, you won, but, NO, we’re not going into hiding this time. Tech is a team to talk about again. GET USED TO IT!
