Chef-owner Ford Fry of JCT Kitchen and his “angry mussels” with bacon will appear on Food Network’s new show “The Best Thing I Ever Ate: With Bacon” episode.

“They called and told me they had selected our mussels,” Fry told me in an email.”I thought at first it was for Bobby Flay’s “Showdown” show. I had a couple of shots of bourbon before the interview. They filmed for about 3 to 4 hours.”

The segment aired today at 12:30 a.m. and will again on July 11 at 6 p.m.
