Here are some cute prom pictures for you.
Members of the Pebblebrook High School Student Leadership Group threw a “Senior Prom” recently at Arbor Terrace at West Cobb Assisted Living.
The event featured a red carpet entrance for all participants and performances by the Pebblebrook students of music from the 1940s and 50s. Pebblebrook is a magnet school for the performing arts. The kids researched and learned songs and dances that would have been popular in the days when Arbor Terrace residents attended their proms.
Students also printed the invitations, decorated with balloons and streamers, and selected themes and colors for the prom. Roy Devore and Margaret Riddle, above, were crowned Prom King and Prom Queen. Marcella Cunningham was awarded the “best dressed” prize.
Hats off to the Pebblebrook students for taking the Arbor Terrace folks back in time for an afternoon.
