Our state lawmakers ended the 2009 legislative session early Saturday. We should be thankful they did. Have you ever seen much ado about so little that benefited the citizenry? Worse session I can recall, though I’m not as seasoned and as observant as some of you when it comes to state politics.
So what, exactly, do you think about the outcome of this year’s session? On a scale of one to 10, how would you rate it? I look forward to reading what Mr. Bob Griggs and the occasionally long-winded Mr. Michael Smith will say about a year when important issues — MARTA service, for example – languished.
“With all the challenges we faced, the biggest thing is we didn’t raise taxes on anybody,” Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle said in a story that appeared Sunday in the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Don’t be an idiot. I refer to myself as hispanic and so does my family back in La Jolla CA where I moved from 2 years ago. Mother and father were born in Mexico, I was born in CA. Not once has anyone in my family, or my friends, refered to themselves as Latino. Mexican, yes. I think Latino is an east coast thing.

I’m hispanic you idiot. I don’t think I’d be welcome at a Klan meeting. I blame all of GA’s problems on ignorance, plain and simple. Look around you, look at the school ratings. Just face it, the South isn’t exactly the brain capital of the country. Pray for rain anyone?
LMAO! Just how FOS is that guy Mark. Hispanic? ROFL! Real Latins do not call themselves “Hispanic”. We are Latinos. So you are Mark, not Marco? You are one hopeless moron.

I stand corrected–thanks LG,
So we kicked their asses and sent them packing a couple of times! Without an armed populace this would have been UNLIKELY.

Jim d – War of 1812, we were invaded by the English. They set the White House on fire regardless of the US citizens having guns. Can’t say never we have never been invaded by a foreign country.

Guns, Lions and Bear, oh my! Well folks it’s like this, no one is going to take away your Second Amendment rights, but I promise you the AWB that bush, the idiot son, let die, will be put back in effect.
Let me put it this way, any fool that cannot protect his/hers property without an Assault Weapon, should not be holding any type of weapon. including plastic forks.
James McCoy, I’m still awaiting your sum up of the session?
btw…I was on ‘The Speakers Staff’ of the New York State Assembly, any questions?
