The family of Ja’Quay Williams likes Auburn’s hiring of Gus Malzahn.
But it’s unlikely that the star wide receiver will be signing with the Tigers again.
Williams committed to Texas A&M over UGA and South Carolina on Sunday after backing off his longtime pledge to Auburn a couple of weeks ago. The former Sandy Creek High School standout is attending prep school this semester, and he hopes to enroll at Texas A&M in January.
“I think that’s a smart move to hire Coach Malzahn,” said JaQuay’s uncle and legal guardian, Kevin Ofchus. “I think it makes you wonder why they let go of him in the first place. I guess that will be the big question, you know.
“It tells you that there’s a lot of dysfunction. One year, you get rid of both of your coordinators. The next year, you get your rid of your head coach and bring back your offensive coordinator again. One thing that you want — one thing that rock-solid programs have – is
