Montravius Adams: 5-star DT to visit Clemson, Alabama and UGA next

It was a rough week and rough month for Dooly County defensive tackle Montravius Adams.

Montravius prediction?

The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder injured his ankle on the first day of Under Armour All-America practice and was diagnosed with a stress fracture. Adams, who was in a walking boot for the rest of the week, said it was related to being injured on a “chop block” in the loss to ECI in the Class A state championship game.

After Friday’s Under Armour game in St. Petersburg, Fla., Adams left immediately for an official visit to Florida.

He has also scheduled trips to Clemson, Alabama and Georgia this month.

He is deciding between Auburn, Ole Miss, North Carolina and USC for his fifth and final visit.

Adams had mixed feelings about defensive line coach Rodney Garner being hired away from Georgia. “It didn’t really change things. Well, it affected it a little bit. Me and him were really close. But it didn’t change how I feel about Georgia because maybe they’ll get a guy just as good, or maybe even better.”

Note: Mississippi State’s Chris Wilson has accepted an offer to become UGA’s new defensive line coach, according to the AJC’s Chip Towers. Wilson was demoted last week at Mississippi State after serving as the team’s defensive coordinator the last two seasons.

The Bagman is Back

When Rodney Garner gave back Reuben Foster his MVP trophy, he also handed him a heavy, heavy, heavy bag like the good old days at Auburn. War Eagle!

I agree. The BAGMAN (GARNER) is back in his old stomping grounds.

If they could only bring back WAYNE HALL, and LOWDER………………………..Then it really would be like old times on the farm at AWBARN.

Adams is a lock for Alabama, according to a couple of his closest buddies. He wants to play for a winning team where he’ll get the kind of quality coaching that will take him to the NFL. Comparing Bama to Georgia was no contest.

In my best Lee Corso impersonation, “Not so fast BayMinette.” Rumor out of Athens is Mama A really loves coach Richt. That could be the deciding factor in MA’s final decision and signature on NSD. Should he actually sign with Bama, however, all us DAWG fans will say; “Don’t need him”; We didn’t want him”; “Got bigger fish to fry” (oh wait, that is a Tech line. Sorry). You get the point. BTW – I believe if you check the current NFL rosters you will find as many if not more DAWGS on those rosters than you will Bammers. Just saying. Richt and co has been pretty good at getting guys to the league as well.

It is no secret who is in the lead for MA. They have been for a year. MA is just trying to convince his mom it is the place to be. He LOVES CU, she loves UGA.

Right now (and has been for a long time) it’s 1. CU 2. UGA 3. Bama/Walmart/Kmart/whoever you want to put here

Bay is just trolling, only way Bama makes a push is with a deposit on his visit. They are not a serious contender at this moment.

Laremy Tunsil – silent to UGA – 5* OT

Toby Johnson – 98% to UGA – 5* DL

Reuben Foster – 95% to UGA – 5* ILB (would be 99.9% but Reuben is Reuben)

Montravius Adams – 90% to UGA – 5* DL (99.9% if UGA wants Adams)

Matthew Thomas – 85% to UGA – 5* OLB (OV 2/01/2013)

Alvin Kamara – 85% to UGA – 4* APB (possible silent to UGA – needed 2 RB in this class only 1 committed – UGA not recruiting another RB – points to silent)

Tyrone Crowder – 80% to UGA – 4* OG (99.9% if UGA wants a OG)

Mackensie Alexander – 50% – to UGA – 5* CB (twin bro Mackenro seeks package deal)

Foster, Adams & Thomas want to play together – Tunsil & Crowder likewise… if UGA gets half of the above recruits it would be considered an outstanding class… as it stands right now UGA has room for 6… still a lot of time for roster adjustments to take place depending on the status of Kennar Johnson & Shaquille Fluker… could make room for 2 more, of the above recruits?

With Murray coming back do you think LeMay will transfer and if he does do you think his brother will transfer.
Is Kolton Houston taking up one of the 85 scholarships or do we have him on Medical Leave and then if that is the case does he count as one of the 85.

I didn’t mean to say transfer for LeMay’s brother , I meant de-commit

UGA NEEDS TO DROP KOLTON HOUSTON, ALL HE IS DOING IS TAKING UP A SCHOLARSHIP. SABAN WOULD HAVE ALREADY DROPPED HIS ASS AND IN THIS CASE ITS NOT A BAD IDEA!! JUST A WASTE

Dawg-Gone – I like your percentages. Not sure how you arrived at them – seems like a lot of wishful thinking to me, but it’s just as easy to think positively as it is to think negatively. I’ve saved your predictions and will re-visit them on signing day. I hope you are right more often than wrong.

Tunsil-UGA

T Johnson-UGA

Foster-AU unless something happens, was recruiting FOR AU at the all star game but it is Foster

Adams-60% CU

Thomas-FSU, watch UM here

Kamara-51% Bama, 49% UGA, will come down to visits

Crowder-CU, not sure if he is a take for UGA Y E T

Alexander-now it’s CU in the lead, was Rutgers….still may end up being Rutgers, expect a package deal with his brother…CU just offered his brother

As far as Houston, the kid has done all he can do…he is one of the BEST lineman we have but we may never see him play, the NCAA are nazis…

@7576DAWG:

Both Christan & Uriah LeMay will stay at UGA… Houston Kolton is on scholarship with no medical hardship available for his condition.

@Dr. Don:

Putting pressure on me… Lol …. things can change… just going by what I hear!

Academics & green salad can effect where some recruits will land…. really worried about Kamara… Bama might offer the same deal D Henry got!

ESPN can stop promoting Notre Dame now – what a blow out. I truly believe Vandy would be a 14 point favorite over the Irish. If Notre Dame comes out of this ranked higher than #12 it will b e a travesty. UGA would have stomped Notre Dame just as bad. The UGA/ Bummer game was for the National Championship. Lou Holtz just needs to RETIRE from running his mouth!
