Could UGA pick up a commitment for second day in a row?

JC WR Jonathan Rumph (247sports)

Could UGA get a commitment for the second day in a row on Wednesday?

Jonathan Rumph, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound wide receiver from Mississippi’s Holmes junior college, will announce on Wednesday between Mississippi State, UGA, Texas Tech and Florida, according to multiple media reports.

If Rumph picks UGA, it would be commitment No. 29 for the Bulldogs for 2013.

On Tuesday, UGA landed one of the biggest fish in its entire class when DB Brendan Langley switched his commitment from South Carolina to the Bulldogs. Some consider Langley to be the state’s No. 1 prospect at cornerback; and the 6-1 senior from Kell High School has the height that UGA defensive coordinator Todd Grantham covets at cornerback.

What about Rumph? He’s from near Columbia, S.C., and attended Brookland-Cayce High School. At Holmes, Rumph is arguably the team’s best player, hauling in 45 passes for 569 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In an interview with Scout.com’s Steve Robertson, Rumph said only his mother and uncle know his college destination. “My mom is happy with my decision,” he said. “Most of all, she is just happy I am going to be in school.”

He’s coming to Georgia. No worries. Look for Reuben Foster to switch to Georgia later.

There are also reports that Nkemideche kid from Grayson is looking a lot closer at UGA than people think. Richt is in Mamma’s ear big time.

I look for Reuben Foster to switch to Georgia as well. The UGA Bulldog crowd in LaGrange is staying on him big time. I know he moved to Auburn, but don’t underestimate some of the people here in Troup County that are big time Bulldog folks that know that Foster is very easily swayed, and these folks are extremely bad at taking ‘no’ for an answer. Plus, compared to the two dorks that took Foster to Tuscaloosa, and delivered him to Saban whenever they wanted him to visit T-town, the Georgia crowd is well polished, a lot more sophisticated, and there’s more of them. Foster does like Hooter’s girls though, and I think he’ll be happy with the Hooter’s situation in Athens.

These recruits are seeing the writing on the wall !! All that negative BS about UGA & Mark Richt didn’t hold up. This is a great program with excellant coaches !! Bama was lucky to beat LSU this year. UGA is like the HULK this year. Something had to happen to wake that defense up. It’s on now I love the way most everybody doesn’t give the Dawgs a chance against Bama. But the HULK will show out in the next 2 weeks & our roster will be full of elite players for years to come. No more Bama Cocks & Tigers taking our players away !! LET THE BIG DAWG EAT

The Grayson kid is not coming to UGA

Only way Foster switches is if Chizick is canned. If Chizick keeps his job, Foster stays with AU

Rumph to UGA. If he chooses UGA, he would push hard for playing time in starting WR rotation once on campus.

Winning games makes recruiting easier, no matter what the pundits say. The SEC is a hard conference to recruit in, even when the kids are from your own state, and some coaches pretty much promise the moon, to get a kid to their school.
At least the kids know what to expect from UGA. If they work hard, they will have a future on Sundays in the big leagues, but there will be no monetary reward from the school, or boosters while they attend UGA. When such has happened, even if a minor offense like A. J. Green’s, the punishment is hard and not deviated from. Now, if only every other school were treated on the same scale, there would be no problem with that.

Please, nothing personal UF Girl, but I sure hope you are wrong about Nkemideche. Though he is a world of talent, I happen to think he will also be a world of trouble. Sounds like Crowell all over again. I hope he stays with Ole miss.

DIT- I agree. It just seems like a traveling circus around Nkemideche. Soap Opera City. I’m fairly confident he’s going to play under Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss with his brother Denzel. That’s an up and coming program over there. Robert can be like Clowney as a freshman if his head can fit into his helmet. Be like Gurley and Marshall. All they have did is fill the backfield void and completely make us fans forget about Crowell and provide a sold running attack while both staying humble and committedto the program.

We are looking good and because of the returning offensive players we will be able to build depth @ multiple positions! Another point is we are aggressively pursuing guys and building a culture in which guys want to be here! To me the best recruiters are Alumni and fans who show the school in a positive light! The culture is positive and now we can win big + continue to send kids to the NFL!

let us just stay away from thugs and prima donnas. we cleaned house the last couple of years, and just see what what has meant for us. i am always leery of pumped up recruits who think they can come in and have control over the team and coaching staff. what is ‘making a deal with a high school kid’ mean, after all? i mean, ‘making a deal with a 17yearold?’ you want to play for georgia, well, come ahead if you are offered. but you WILL have to fit in with this team; no more ‘me.’ that is a high school thing. your models, kids, are gurshall. and hershel. that is what uga football, and in fact all of uga, is about. wise up when you sign on.

one more thing, recruits. when uga makes an offer to you IT MEANS IT. uga does NOT, like other schools, leave you dangling if you are injured, or have other problems. the dawgs take care of their own, good times or bad.

Nkemideche will not be a force in college – the only reason he stands out in high school is because he is so much bigger than everyone – he will just be avergae in college and will not be an impact player.

I hope you’re right deebow. Nkemideche, the dawgs need you young man. Imagine having Montravious Adam, Robert Nkemideche, Carl Lawson and Reuben Foster on the same defense. Teams will have a hard time scoring against that group. If the dawgs can land at least 2 of them would be huge!
