Vonn Bell: AJC Super 11 and 5-star safety on recruiting

Vonn Bell is the first-out-state resident to ever been named to the AJC Super 11.

The 5-star safety lives in the suburbs of Chattanooga, Tenn., but commutes with his mother every day to Ridgland High School where she teaches.

Bell has narrowed his college choices to Alabama, Tennessee and Ohio State. He grew up a fan of Tennessee.

Gruden doesnt want anything to do with Knoxville the same as Kiffen learned. Why was this young man not recruited to be a Dawg along side Tray Mathews to anchor this Dawg secondary for the next few yrs after Williams and Rambo leave?

i posted comment(s) on here yesterday that were deleted. there was a scrimmage earlier this fall between Signal Mtn., Tn. and Ridgeland where the great-nephew of Dickie Phillips (remember him), who was an all-American lineman for Georgia, Reese Phillips as qb exposed Bell to be only average in the secondary. your concern should be that the Ga. recruiters misjudge talent, and should have been pursuing Phillips. Bell’s cousin and teammate from Ridgeland that Ga. landed, Bowman, has shown the same innability to handle upper level competition. no super eleven here.
