Davin Bellamy: FSU commit liked UGA so much he will return for official visit
Davin Bellamy, the DE from Chamblee High School, attended his first-ever college football game on Saturday and it was at … UGA.
FSU-bound DE Davin Bellamy will take official visits with the Noles, UGA and 3 other schools TBA
Bellamy is committed to Florida State. “That was an experience for me,” he said. “I went to downtown Athens after the game, just to see how the fans are down there and I enjoyed myself.”
Bellamy said he talked with UGA recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner and another assistant who said the Bulldogs “would recruit him to the end.”
How much interest does Bellamy have in UGA? “Right now, I’m 100-percent committed to Florida State.”
However, Bellamy later said he likes UGA enough to take an official visit there, along with a trip to Florida State. He also plans to tour three other schools that he has yet to select. “I kind of enjoyed myself while I was there, so why not experience it one more time?”
What would UGA have to do to change Bellamy’s mind? “It would have to be a lot because when I committed to Florida State, that was the place where I felt like was the best situation for me. Georgia would definitely have to do a lot for that to change.”
Bellamy couldn’t attend Florida State’s home game against Clemson because he had a high school game the same day. He plans to get over there next weekend for the Boston College game.

A) Probably not a good idea to let everybody know you went downtown after the game. Exactly how did he get into the 21+ bars when he’s 17?
B) I witnessed Davin smoking a green leafy substance after the game. He then took his shirt off and started rapping.
C) Not the kind of guy we want at UGA when we’re trying to get rid of these bad apples. Let him go be a cancer at FSU

He knows FSU is DE University, just like UGA is Tight end U.
Thing about FSU is, in the last 20 years, they’ve had 2 national championships.
UGA hasn’t had one since 1980.
Man wants to win national championships, not be on a B team that has to make excuses about their conference every year.

UGA don’t need this KID. He is not a man. I don’t want my beloved Dawgs takin’ up another spot with some project kid. He needs about 2 yrs in S&C and he just ain’t UGA quality.

I am sure he loved his trip. Athens is a nice place. He’s never been to Tallahassee for a game day experience and once he has he will know where his heart lies. Coach V @ FSU is one of the best S&C guys in CFB. He gets the most out of his guys.
Would he want to go to a school that can always compete for natty’s (with the top recruits in the nation) or go to UGA where every year is “just wait until next year”. We’ve all seen what UGA has to offer and seen UGA max out on it’s potential (Sugar Bowl vs Hawaii). Richt may not even be there much longer and likely would not see Bellamy finish his tenure (IF he chose UGA). There are just too many variables with UGA.
FSU was his first love and his best option. Can’t blame him for seeing past all the smoke and mirrors at UGA.
