Georgia Tech will entertain a crowd of recruits when it has its best home game of the season. The Yellow Jackets play host to Miami.
Georgia Tech has 13 commitments for 2013, and at least eight will be in attendance on Saturday:
Some uncommitted prospects making unofficial visits for the game are North Cobb RB-LB Quentin James, Stephens County RB Chaz Thornton, Grady DE Darren Dowdell, and Buford DE Mikey Bart.

Michael, do we have a chance at landing any of the uncommitted guys? Are any of them game changers?

Hope Chaz and Tech connect. Thornton is still running great for Stephens County.
He is small but fast. I remember a few other Tech guys from the Toccoa area.

MC…
You left out Cornelius Elder out of Nashville, TN. He’s a 4-star athlete prospect (RB/DB) who also plays basketball and is taking the McCamish tour prior to the football game.

Corn is a really interesting prospect. He’ll be given the opportunity to play football, and basketball, with the Jackets, if he decides to sign with GA Tech, and that’s why he’s making the visit this weekend. I think Corn is intrigued by the idea of playing the A-Back position in our Offense and then having a chance to also play ACC basketball. If he signs with the Jackets, any dual sport athlete that plays football, the scholarship always counts against the football limits, so that would take one from their side, but still leave one available for basketball.

You sure that’s true, Jacket Man?
Interesting if so. Hadn’t heard anything about that rule beforehand.

I think Chaz Thorton would be great at A-Back in the triple option. Small size but very quick!!

I wonder if Devine and Hall are second guessing going to Tech with all the noise around the future of our coaches. Also, I know they flirted with UGa. It would kill me to see those 2 studs go to Athens, but it would be totally understandable considering the climate on the “flats” and opportunities to start at UGa. Bummer!!!
