UGA picked up its second basketball commitment for 2013 with Juwan Parker this weekend.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Tulsa, Okla., selected UGA over Memphis and Stanford, according to the Tulsa World.
“My family has a good relationship with [UGA assistant Kwanza Johnson] and coach [Mark Fox], and Georgia has one of the best business schools in the country,” Juwan Parker said. “Coach Fox built a winner at Nevada and he’s doing the same thing at Georgia. When I visited there, I felt very comfortable. I felt at home.”
Parker is ranked as a 3-star and the nation’s No. 117 overall prospect by Rivals. Last year as a junior, Parker averaged 20.5 points and 9.4 rebounds.
UGA’s other 2013 commitment is JJ Frazier, a 5-10 point guard from Georgia’s Faith Baptist Christian Academy.
