UGA will get an official visit from 5-star football recruit
UGA, Alabama, and Florida are reportedly the top three for 5-star Laremy Tunsil (247sports)
UGA will be one of the five official visits for the No. 1-ranked offensive lineman in the country, according to multiple reports.
Laremy Tunsil is a 5-star offensive tackle who is 6-foot-6, 290-pounds and from Columbia, Fla.
Loading ...Tunsil declared this week that he will take his five official visits to UGA, Alabama, LSU, USC and Ole Miss. He is also considering Florida and Florida State.
Tunsil recently told USA Today that Alabama, UGA and Florida are his top three.
“I’m in love with Georgia, I can tell you that right now,” Tunsil told ESPN’s Kipp Adams. “I have a relationship with all the coaches there … I would have to say that Georgia has given me the best guideline so far on how they would use me and develop me in college …”
Tunsil also said he was not bothered by the recent commitment of JC offensive lineman Trenton Brown to UGA.
The Bulldogs have 24 commitments for their 2013 recruiting class, including four offensive linemen – Buford’s Josh Cardiello, Walton’s Brandon Kublanow and Valwood-Valdosta’s Aulden Bynum.

There’s a long way to go till NSD 2013, but it would be awesome to have Tunsil @ LT and Theus @ RT for the next couple of years!

His stance on UGA will change after he visits T-Town! Similar to Derrick Henry with RB’s – Tunsil will recognize that Alabama is producing the best offensive lines in college football and is on a roll.
It is in his best interest to attend Bama and he will figure it out.
Going to UGA would be a waste of talent and he will not develop.
Look at it this way:
Donnan’s last 4 years at UGA 35-13-0 and 4 bowl wins, 0 National Titles, 0 SEC Titles, 0 SEC – East Division Titles.
Richts last 4 years at UGA – 34-19-0 and 2-2 in bowl wins, 0 National Titles, 0 SEC Titles, 1 East Div. Title.
Who is the better coach when looking at the most recent 4 year cycle? Donnan???? Good arguement.
NOW – compare to Saban’s last 4 years at ALADAMNBAMA: , 46-6-0, 3-1 bowl game, 2 National Titles, 1 SEC Title, 1 SEC West Division Title.

Can’t play the race card with Tunsil, but we will be treated to a recital of Brandon Greene, James Carpenter, and Chance Warmack, and how each are Georgians. Of course Good Ol’ TR will NOT mention how Warmack was the consolation prize out of Westlake, and Bama struck out on Westlake alum Cam Newton.

Sid, there’s only one glaring flaw with your argument, and that is players in the NFL with a Championship ring (NCAA). I bet a lot more in the last 5 years are UA alums. In fact, that may say as much as anything about the historical success of UGA than anything. It’s been a long time since Herschel suited up!

I am pretty sure no recruit is worried that going to Alabama is going to keep them out of the NFL. They do probably have significant doubts as to whether they can compete for championships at UGA though.

He’s still a kid. A big one, but a kid, nonetheless but appears pretty well grounded. When he’s ready to decide, I’m sure his decision will be his best. I’d love to have him in Athens though, I can tell you that!

Destin Dawg, UGA won’t win the SEC championship because of Alabama and LSU. Even if they make it to the game. I advise you to lower your expectations to 11-12 wins this season and an Outback or Capital One Bowl appearance.

I hope we can land this guy. After misses on Greene, Young, Devine, Warmack, Carpenter, etc., we deserve a top notch OL. I hope he commits before signing day so we don’t miss on another top notch lineman.
