Georgia State picked up a commitment at QB, despite the fact that he’s never visited the campus.
Oshay Carter, a 6-foot-4, 230-pounder from Jackonsville, committed to Georgia State over Florida International, Troy, Rice, Tennessee State and Florida A&M. He was also being recruited by Central Florida as an “athlete.”
“Georgia State was one of the better offers I had left, and I wanted to go ahead and make my decision now so I don’t have to worry about it my senior year,” Carter said. “I’ll be visiting in August, and that’s only two weeks away. I’m pretty sure I will like it. Atlanta is a nice city.”
Carter knows Georgia State’s coaches because he worked out for them at a summer camp last month at Camden County High School. Carter already had an offer from Georgia State before the camp, but decided to participate anyways.
