Marietta QB-WR combination splitting up for college

WR Tyree Harris

WR Tyree Harris

The Marietta High School QB-WR combination of Anthony Jennings and Tyree Harris talked about going to college together as a “package deal.”

And several schools — including Missouri, Boston College and Syracuse — offered football scholarship to both players.

However, in the end, they decided to go separate ways in college – with Jennings committing to LSU last month and Harris picking Wake Forest on Monday.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Harris committed to Wake Forest over Mississippi State, while also considering Clemson, Kentucky and Syracuse.

“At first, we talked about going to the same school,” Harris said. “But then he decided on LSU and I went with Wake Forest. So I guess rather than playing with each other, we could end up playing against each other in college.”

Why Wake Forest for Harris? “I just liked the atmosphere, the coaching staff, and everything about it.”

If you are Dawg fan then be a Dawg fan, not a pest, and let the coaches do their jobs, and let the chips fall where they may, afterall, let’s not forget the kids do have “choices”, and they will decide when the time is right for THEM..

Can’t believe we didn’t offer Jennings. Son of a legacy and possible #1QB in the land. However, we did get Michael Greer, Travers Paine, the Rismiller kid, Bryce Ros, Joe T3, et al.

Will someone show me a so called “package deal” please? I cannot remember one in recent years. Allow me to clarify; two players in HS who declared they would be a “package deal” and signed letters of intent simultaneously and who made an impact on the field together. Not what we commonly have today where one player “decides” to follow his buddy who previously committed, a.k.a., “Robert Nkemdiche: No. 1 prospect hoping Clemson offers another Grayson teammate”. I’m so burned out on this. Enough already!

This guy SKINT is right. Sure, UGA will be “just fine” with Ramsey. The same way they’re “just fine” with Aaron Murray. Outscored 35-0 in the 2nd half alone by LSU, and Mich St. made you quit. Yeah everything is “Just Fine.” Jennings could take you to the next level, but you don’t want him because he’s black.

Ramsey is a better punter than he is a passer. FYI.
