Dutchtown High School offensive lineman Jordan Harris committed to Middle Tennessee State University on Sunday.
Harris, who is 6-5 and 330 pounds, is projected to play RT for the Blue Raiders.
Harris has started for Dutchtown since his sophomore year. He was a member of the 2011 Georgia Junior Bowl Team.
“I feel real comfortable with the Middle Tennessee State coaching staff, especially Coach Elarbee”, said Harris. ‘I am happy with my decision. I just want to focus all of my energy and attention now on enjoying my senior year with my teammates.”
Harris held offers from Troy, Colorado State, Delaware and the University of Buffalo and was drawing heavy interest from multiple schools.
“I have coached Jordan since he was in the eight grade. I told both he and his mother then that he would sign a Division I scholarship. It is very gratifying to help a young man achieve his dream”, said Dutchtown assistant head coach Terry Herrod.

No offers from the SEC teams? What’s the downside to this young man? Seems like a major prospect to me? Did UGA even look at him?
