QB Nick Schuessler: Another one of Robert Nkemdiche’s teammates is headed to Clemson

What was Robert Nkemdiche’s reaction when he found out that his high school QB – and another close friend – will be playing football at Clemson on Sunday night?

“We are about to start a dynasty [at Clemson].”

Nkemdiche signs with?

The congratulatory text message was sent to Nick Schuessler, the QB who led Grayson High School to the Class AAAAA state championship this past year. Schuessler signed with Mississippi State last February but decided to leave last week – a few weeks after enrolling in summer school – to play closer to home.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Schuessler said he will join Clemson as a preferred walk-on.

Schuessler’s decision to go to Clemson will likely strengthen the commitment of the nation’s No. 1 consensus college football prospect to the Tigers.

Schuessler and Nkemdiche are longtime friends: They teamed together in Grayson’s offensive backfield (with Nkemdiche playing tailback) during the state championship run. Nkemdiche has also lived with Schuessler’s family at times.

Schuessler is the fourth Grayson prospect that will be enrolling at Clemson, along with the rising senior trio of Nkemdiche, RB Wayne Gallman and DB David Kamara.

“Well, of course, Robert, David and Wayne all played a special role in me deciding to go to Clemson – they are family to me and I couldn’t turn down the opportunity  to get to play with them again,” Schuessler said.

“But I think, more importantly, getting to play for such a good coach and Christian leader in Dabo Swinney and all the coaches, I think that’s special, too, and played a big role in helping me make a decision.”

Schuessler said he will join Clemson as a preferred walk-on, and could report as early as next month. “The way my release [from Mississippi State] is, I’m not allowed to have financial aid for like the first semester or something like that, so yes I will be a preferred walk-on until I earn my scholarship.”

As a senior at Grayson High School, Schuessler completed 121 of 181 passes for 1,753 yards and 19 touchdowns. His coach compared his skill set to former UGA QB David Greene.

Does this “seal the deal” between Nkemdiche and Clemson? What do you think? Please post below.

Grayson coach and Dabo are “creating a dynasty”?

That is a laugh and a half.

But it is also highly suspect that players are going to Clemson now instead of staying in state. There is a conflict of interest here and its becoming very apparent and smells of unethical means.

NCAA needs to look into this now…

Carvel is onto something with sealing the deal with Nmkediche. Clemson is putting a lot of stock into this recruit. 1 good athlete that may go pro after a couple years is worth how many scholarship offers? So what happens if Nmkemdiche decomits? I;m laughing my head off!!! I’m going with Nightmare even if he doesn’t!!! Meal ticket is right
This got my attention from prior about QB decimating: Lots of questions cropping up about Grayson Football… From Investigate Grayson: http://blogs.ajc.com/recruiting/2012/06/28/qb-nick-schuessler-mississippi-state-signee-decides-to-transfer-after-a-few-weeks/
Something BIG WRONG AT GRAYSON. Seems like EVERY article about Grayson Football you read about Big Rob. How he’s best friends with so and so who got some scholarship, rumors about Grayson Coach Conn & Clemson and wonder upon wonder Big Rob and his best buds commit there, and now you’ve got some old QB who decommits, said made mistake, and oh yeah BIG ROB LIVED WITH HIM???? WHAT DOES BIG ROB HAVE TO DO WITH THIS KID DECOMMITING? What the HECK IS GOING ON AT GRAYSON? Is BIG ROB EVERYONE’S MEAL TICKET AT GRAYSON? It’s giving those rumors of where Big Rob really lives legs? Let me state before everyone jumps on me that I feel bad for any kid with family trouble but wouldn’t all players, families that want their kid to get a scholarship, and especially coaches like to pick their ow team? People cheat the system all the time – some get caught some don’t, but this really SMELLS. How far will teams go to cover up?Rules apply to EVERYBODY and grayson is NO exception. Who and where does Big Rob live? Who has Guardianship? And I hope this rumor is wrong – a coach but he hasn’t lived with him for a long time????? ESPECIALLY ALL LAST YEAR???!!!!! AND HERE IS THE BIGGIE – IF NOT, DOES THIS PUT GRAYSONS STATE TITLE AT RISK? Big Rob does have a family, brother playing Ol’Miss, and father found at football games with recruiters? It’s time some things got cleared up but who would really tell you the truth at Grayson? You got players, coaches and probably others involved. I’m not picking on Grayson but seriously? GHSA needs to investigate BEFORE THIS SEASON STARTS.

Evidently Clemson thinks this QB is worth a future scholarship. This offer had nothing to do with solidifying Nkemdiche to Clemson. He isn’t going any where any way. Nkemdiche and Gallman will be legit players – Kamara is a backup.

I admit I was wrong and gave the kid credit and had hoped he would straighten up. He didn’t but it is nobodies fault but his own. He still has his athletic skills and if he had been even half as responsible as he should have been, he would have broken some records in the SEC before all was said and done. He chose the path he did for whatever reason and he now will have to pay the price.
Your constant putting down UGA really has very little to do with this kid or the team. As for others saying it wouldn’t have happened at Alabama because of Saban. It would never have happened because the authorities would have turned the kid over to Saban, and if he were dismissed, the public wouldn’t find out why, until months later.
As more and more comes out about this young man, it appears he really has not matured in the least. It is ashame because he was filled with promise. I just hope he didn’t get the other kids in the car into too much trouble, but if he did, UGA will come clean about it, unlike your school. That doesn’t seem to matter to a lot of other schools, as evident by how many times your school has been on probation in the last 10 years or so, but pride beyond football, still matters in Georgia. I am glad you have followed my comments though, since it appears they might have actually given you thought, which I know is a whole new function for you.

Wow, I never knew I was so popular. At least I can admit my mistake when it came to the young man. Unlike whomever you are, I was at least willing to give the young man the benefit of the doubt, and not condemn him right off the bat. He disappointed me greatly but I still have faith in my DAWGS. And of course unlike you, I don’t have the magical power of predicting the future. If you somehow, think his hair had anything to do with it, then J.J. is surely doomed for the future. Since you are so good and such an expert, perhaps you can predict Fosters, Adams, Tunsils and any other recruits future? Surely, with your terrific mind power, you should be able to do that with no sweat. Maybe your powers only work when you are being so negative about UGA or when you have discovered a persons words of support for a player who turned out to be a bad deal. Mistakes happen, and being human, I made one concerning Crowell. I am a man and can admit my mistakes and I am sure I will make more in life. I don’t seem to have nail marks on my hands and feet as you surely must feel you do.

Nope, not anymore unhealthy than usual. The same old same old stuff, by some folks. Everybody has their opinions, but some feel so mighty as to think they are the only ones that count. It doesn’t bother me, because I am sure of myself and confident in myself. I don’t think what anybody says on these blogs against me or about me, causes me to lose a minute of sleep. It is actually quite flattering to know that they are hanging on to everything I might comment on so much, hoping I make a mistake in judgement. They would also like to know your whereabouts late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

I personally read one of your post, last week, ranting about UGA attrition, listing all the players names. At the very end of your post you stated you needed to go ahead and get the long list posted before Isaiah Crowell’s name made the list.

Just how, Mr Thomas Brown/buLLDawG did you know Crow was about to be dismissed?

Mr. Thomas Brown/buLLDawG have you ever owned a 9mm Luger? Mr. Thomas Brown/buLLDawG do you own a Mill file? If so bring that with you when you visit.

The QB is lucky Miss State didn’t play hardball otherwise he would be without a scholly for one entire year. Dabo burning all the schollys he has to get Robert no doubt. I had hoped Robert would come to Bama but I am in the camp that believe he will stick with Clemson and that is better than LSU as far as what is best for Bama.

The Reuben Foster saga still on the news. I know longer consider him a Bama commit but just some player we might get on NSD. He is a full of himself as Robert N if not worse. He shows a complete lack of respect for AU,UGA, and Bama by trolling the staffs that spend time and money just trying to understand where they stand. We need less of these type of characters but that will not be the case for more are coming right behind. You have a guy that is 17 and not even a SR with a child moving from HS to HS and trolling 3 if not more major football programs each weekend. I guess there is 2 of 3 chances the state of Alabama will get stuck with the welfare payments for the child while Georgie only has 1 chance. We’ve come a long way baby.

Yeah, that’s me. Always positive about everything. How stupid to be willing to give the kid the benefit of the doubt. I guess it is an offense to think positive in your world until proven wrong. Guess what, I will still think positive about UGA, and even some kids that look like trouble, but are being given a chance. Always thinking negative will never be in my book. I will leave that up to you.
If he had stayed out of trouble, he would have been a great back, and I believe he would have set records before it was all over on the football field. Acting like the judge and jury, before the kid even had a chance to prove otherwise gains nothing. He has proven now that he is not worthy of the opportunities given him, but at least he was given the chance to prove it. That is way better than not having given him a chance at all. If that bothers you dude, live with it. It will happen again, and I will still believe in giving that player the same measure of leave way as I did

Having never owned a gun… I need to ask a stupid question concerning the serial #’s. Wouldn’t it be an advantage to have a duplicate serial # stamped inside the gun, in case the one on the outside is suddenly accidentally damaged?

Also it would make it harder for the thieves to just file the serial # off.

The Bear

July 2nd, 2012
8:59 am

@Dawg-Gawn the serial number is really just a way for the manufacturer to track the gun during and after manufacture. Once sold it is a way to track ownership of the gun through legal buy and sell practices. Putting other serial number inaccessible areas is probably on the way.

From what I understand, isn’t it virtually impossible to hide the serial number, since once it is stamped into the metal, even if it is filed off, the impression is left in the metal and can be brought out by using a special kind of acid I think. The number is actually compressed in the metal.
