DB Demetrius Monday commits to D1 school … on Monday

DB Demetrius Monday committed to Cincinnati on Monday.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder picked Cincy over football scholarship offers from Mississippi State and Toledo. Monday also had interest from other schools, including Ole Miss.

“I had went to camp, I liked it and they offered me on the spot,” Monday told the AJC. “I like the coaches and how they treated me, so I decided to commit.”

Monday will play at Pebblebrook High School this after transferring from Arlington Christian, the GISA school which was coached by former UGA standout Robert Edwards last year.

I believe Jasper Sanks was credited for fumbling at the goal line but replays clearly showed he actually scored but that was before replays became the norm. At that time it was just like a called strike in baseball. You can argue until you get ejected but you are never going to get that call reversed. Such is life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replays clearly showed that:

Jasper Sanks did not fumble
Joey Hamilton did fumble

On the other hand if we had instant replay CJD would not have been fired. And we may not have had the chance to hire CMR. So as much as I hate being cheated out of two more victories over gt…. all and all it was worth it.

i can recall a number of uga tech games where gt had victory snatched from their grasp by bad calls. i cant recall the reverse happening.

one that comes to mind is a penalty for defensive interference with nary a tech player within yards of the infraction a few years ago. of course that comes down to the refs having more respect for the dawg.

once cpj and the jackets start whupping up on the dawg tech will start seeing some phantom calls go our way.

dont look back dawgs the jackets are gaining on you….all 67 uga scholarship players. lmao.

like it or not. super duper dream cream gazillion recruiting teams or not. the dawgs are in decline.

while richt and his jerry sandusky approach may gain a few recruits who are impressed with the hugs, and cheek kissing, birthday singing, and swimming with the recruits it has got him nowhere with wins and losses and championships etc. lets face it while richt may be a nice guy he is a terrible and i mean terrible judge of character. 67 players on scholarship oh my.

like it or not gt was the last team from this state that won a nc… not uga.

gt was the last team in this state too win a conference title not uga.

like it or not uga routinely vies for the fulmer cup trophy not gt.

like it or not uga constantly worries about non qualifiers not gt. l

ike it or not gt leads the nation in the recruits ave test score.

when one looks at all the advantages that uga has over uga. …state flagship program. soft curriculum to hide non qualifiers. finances. alumni who stay in state. school size. conference…. etc etc etc. it is a wonder that gt even competes. if i was wa dawg i certainly wouldnt be crowing over ecking out a few victories over such an out manned opponent.

dont look now but our girls bb team is about to overtake your girls program after decades of dominance.

dont look now but our first year basketball coach has already passed your bb teams short lived dominance.

dont look now but our golf and baseball teams rule this state.

yes it has taken cpj a few years to establish recruiting relationships. if you havent noticed the players that we now take on as preferred walk ons are as good as the players we were signing when cpj first came here. we have recruited huge massive offensive lineman this year. this year’s oline will be the best oline we have had in almost a decade and we just signed players even better.

to boot … all our players have qualified. we are close to our 85 player limit. that cant be said of uga. as one of your own has pointed out you have around 67 players on scholarship inspite of all those dream teams you routinely recruit year after year after year. lmao. how are those mythical recruiting championships working for ya?

over the last 10 years uga has been in the top 3 as far as recruiting goes and what do you have to show for it? a few wins over gt and that is about it. boise came in here last year and cleaned your clock AT YOUR PLACE. your phat ass team had their hands on their hips throughout the 2nd half.

your progarm is in decline and you dawgs know it.

cpj is george oleary on steroids. we all saw how oleary handled the dawgs 11 years ago and we saw how he handled you 2 years ago. it took oleary a few years to start getting the players he wanted,. cpj is in that same position now.

even the game crocks ( as bad a program as they have been for decades) has passed your wonderful dawgs. look for the new teams in the sec to also move the dawgs down in the pecking order. look for vandy to start putting you dawgs in your place as well. they have a pretty durn good coach.

times change.

I see you cannot find a scholarship football player, not on my list. Or, you would tell me.

So, we are left with 2007 season, when the 2007 season was SIX (6) seasons ago now when we beat not 1 team who actually made it into the AP Poll Top 10 while LSU beat 2. And, what Mark Richt’s win percentage is of 12 current SEC coaches but don’t talk about the ones who won national championships and left, and don’t talk about those who haven’t coached 11 years at the school they are at now. There are only 4 coaches in all of America who have done that.

In the meantime, your discussion is

WIN PERCENTAGE

When Mark Richt’s Win Percentage after the 2005 season is # 23 in the nation and # 6 of just 2012 SEC teams.

When you catch yourself saying Mark Richt is the BEST COACH IN THE SEC, just stop yourself there.

Mark Richt has botched his roster management for 2012, a season in which he plays but 1 team all 12 regular seasons’ games against any team who made any top 25 poll. A season after which he loses his entire defense and faces 2013 Alabama and LSU without a defense. A man who confuses PUNISHMENT with DISCIPLINE, when Discipline off and on the field is that which one does with youngsters to PREVENT them from having to be punished – or, punishment if it has to be to maintain discipline – something Mark Richt has been WOEFULLY INADEQUATE at all 11 years.

Mark Richt is the best coach in WIN PERCENTAGE in The SEC.

Does Mark Richt need a former WR teaching running backs ?

a former Great RB teaching WR ?

a former QB teaching TE ?

a recruiting coordinator who has BOTCHED 2012 scholarship recruit numbers ?

Yes, we must have all them and a former QB coach we stole from JAX State to be our offensive coordinator, but we cannot have a special teams’ coach because of all this on our FAILED OFFENSE.

Now, Today Blair Walsh in the NFL will start for the Minnesota Vikings and instantly they pick up on the fact that Blair Walsh was going off before the holder raised his left hand.

Whether this fixes Blair Walsh or not, there is no question that this in fact is totally wrong to go off as the field goal and extra point kicker before the holder raises his left hand.

You watch the ball get snapped to start off on your approach.

I am surprised that Rex Robinson didn’t say anything, or Kevin Butler whose son was the holder.

I can understand that Mark Richt thought that since Blair Walsh had done so well his 1st 3 years here, that Blair Walsh could just

COACH HIMSELF.

You LOST in football again to UGA 1-10 vs our current coach

better grad rate? i wont even dignify that lame argument with a response.

fulmer cup….. check
sc has passed the dawgs…….. check
68 schollies (your own stat)……… check
lost to boise…….. check
lost to george oleary again………. check (that was a coach richt loss btw)
gt has won a conf title more recently………. check
gt has won a national title more recently…… check
gt has won or tied for more divisional titles than uga….. check
a florida progam in upheaval still dominates the dawgs….. check
bama took only 5 years of saban to leap far above the dawgs……. check
lsu ? lmao……… check
spurrier still snickers when the dawgs and their delusional fans are mentioned….. check

like i said YOUR problem is that bragging about beating gt is a pretty pretty pretty empty boast given all the advantages uga has over gt. even the board of regents ( all frawgs) do all they can to marginalize gt. even the governor is a uga grad. all the newspapers? run by uga grads. talk about good press.

the issue is not that uga has beat tech 9 of 10. the issue is why uga lost that one and why most games have been games that tech could have won in the last minutes. times do change. see george oleary. see woman’s basketball.

i also note the you didnt dispute gt’s superiority in mens basketball and golf and baseball. i see that you must also agree that gt’s women’s bb team has finally overcome the uga teams decades dominance. it is now gt’s time in women’s basketball. time’s change.

far as richt’s wl % goes that is hilarious. the sec has one of the weakest if not THE weakest sos in the country. wins against lousinana state etc do not count for much. there was an article on sos this year. the acc had the most difficult sos of any conference. the sec? no where to be found. empty wins over sisters of the poor dont count.

you and your wonderful coach had all last summer to plan on how to beat boise state at the cesspool no less. not only did you lose with more talent but had the game gone longer they would have crushed uga. good teams tend to crush the dawgs. see fla. see boise. see bama. see lsu.

even your fan base sees the decline. toooo funny. their are reports of empty seats at the cesspool. their are reports of fans leaving before the games are over. that cant be happening can it? maybe it is time that the dawgs offered 5 hot dawgs a pepsi and a pack of chaw to keep fans in the seats.

to point to wl % without a single championship. without a single nc. with only one divisional championship in 10 years is laughable. uga plays in the sisters of the poor division of the sec and still cant get that ring at the bottom of that cracker jack’s box.

yes richt has a good record against gt. most of it came at the hands of chan gailey. nobodies hall of fame coach.

remember that play when cpj allowed the dawgs to score? at first your all world coach jumped up an down in glee. ‘we scored we scored.’ than it sunk in. duh. by allowing uga to score gt gave itself a last chance at a win. while uga won that game our coach out coached your genius. AGAIN. that is a harbinger of things to come.

like i said you have 68… while we have a full 85. you cant keep your roster full because your coach is such a poor judge of character. ( your own argument).

meanwhile gt is now bringing in preferred walk on’s that are better than the scholarship players we signed a few years back. ie frost is a far better player than jabo shaw and all he got was an invite as a pwo NOT a schollie.

time changes. dont look back.

nice try but you fail.

Frankly, I’m pretty fed up with all of the Richt apologists with their lame whining that all schools have the same problems with their athletes. That’s utter tripe. UGA has so many athletes arrested and suspended or dismissed outright because Mark Richt recruits low class morons with no moral code, no sense of teamwork, and a “me first” attitude that’s like a cancer to the team.
