The Milton-to-Wake Forest pipeline?
For the second day in a row, an offensive lineman from Milton High School committed to Wake Forest.
Josh Harris, a 6-foot-4, 290-pounder, picked Wake Forest over South Florida among his five offers, which also included Maryland, Middle Tennessee State and South Alabama. On Wednesday, Milton center Cory Helms committed to Wake Forest.
Both Harris and Helms made an unofficial to Wake Forest together on Wednesday. Helms committed on the spot, while Harris needed more time to think about it.
“We’re teammates and it will be great to play with best friends in college,” Harris said. “After visiting yesterday, I went home and we talked about everything as a family. When I woke up this morning, I was ready to make the decision. Wake Forest is the place for me.
“It’s obviously a great academic school. Everything is perfect. Their football program is on the rise, and I think they will compete nationally soon.”
Harris said he can play any position on the offensive line, but will likely end up at guard.

4 those of u unhappy about having to deal with Milton’s 6 state championship teams, here’s some more bad news: the football program is ready to rock and roll. And before we hear the inane “they recruit” refrain, what is the school offering? No scholarships, no room and board, no “private school financial” aid. No you can come if you pay a couple of dollars for “tuition.” Along with those two D I lineman, Milton has two D I running backs and a D I QB. Plus the top defensive lineman in the country.

What are ya’ll feeding those kids at Milton? Did he actuall say “Their football program is on the rise, and I think they will compete nationally soon.”? Might not want to hold your breath on that one.

Sounds like Milton is going to be the team to beat with all that talent. Are any players redistricted to Cambridge? The best 6A game for North Fulton will be Milton VS Alpharetta – the only 2 North Fulton teams in 6A that are worth watching.

I guess Wake Forrest wants to be bad like Milton if they are building a pipeline.
