Uriah LeMay: UGA QB’s brother picks the Bulldogs

The younger brother of UGA quarterback Christian LeMay will join his brother in college.

Uriah LeMay, a 4-star wide receiver from Matthews, N.C., committed to UGA after a 10-minute ceremony on Friday. He picked the Bulldogs over his finalists of Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech.

LeMay to LeMay? That could be a popular pass connection at UGA in a couple of years. The two played together at Butler High School for the 2009 season.

“We had to do it in [high school] practice a little while ago; I don’t think the chemistry has lost its step … we’ve been working out a little bit over the years,” Uriah said at the ceremony. “We’ll have to see how it goes [at Georgia].”

Christian was redshirted as a freshman at UGA this past season, and will have four years of eligibility. Uriah is a high school junior, and will join UGA for the 2013 season. The brothers will have three seasons to play throw and catch in college.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound LeMay is commitment No. 18 for UGA’s recruiting class – and third at wide receiver. The Bulldogs, which may sign around 30 players in February, will likely take 3-4 wide receivers in this class.

UGA commits for 2013

  1. RB Derrick Henry, 6-3, 241, Yulee, Fla.
  2. QB Brice Ramsey, 6-3, 190, Camden County HS
  3. S Tray Matthews, 6-2, 205, Newnan HS
  4. DB Shaq Wiggins, 5-10, 160, Sandy Creek HS
  5. DB Steven Nelson, 6-0, 185, College of Sequoias JC (Northside-WR HS)
  6. DT Chris Mayes, 6-4, 295, Mississippi Gulf Coast JC (Spalding HS)
  7. DT DeAndre “Moose” Johnson, 6-3, 311, Northgate HS
  8. WR Tramel Terry, 6-0, 185, Goose Creek (S.C.)
  9. LB Johnny O’Neal, 6-1, 230, West Laurens HS
  10. WR Kyrin Priester, 6-2, 185, Brookwood HS
  11. OL Aulden Bynum, 6-5, 250, Valwood HS
  12. LB Ryne Rankin, 6-1, 231, Orlando, Fla.
  13. LB, Reggie Carter, 6-1, 220, South Gwinnett HS
  14. ATH JJ Green, 5-9, 178, Camden County HS
  15. DB Reggie Wilkerson, 6-0, Citron, Fla.
  16. OL Josh Cardiello, 6-4, 280, Buford HS
  17. OL Brandon Kublanow, 6-3, 290, Walton HS
  18. WR Uriah LeMay, 6-1, 200, Matthews, N.C.

I suppose this will put an end to the Lemay brothers to Tennessee rumors. I am so glad all these guys claiming “inside information” are so accurate. They have something on the inside and it appears to be a double dose of “do.” Welcome to the DAWG nation Uriah.

That must be a pretty cool prospect for the Lemay brothers and their family, being able to play together and for the family being able to watch both their sons play together.

This clown posted this in the other blog. You really don’t know that kids take trips to other schools even if they are committed? They get a free trip and they go. Like I said before. You’re just mad because he didn’t want to play for that idiot Spurrier. Even the best player in South Carolina didn’t want to play for him.

All of these stupid CMR on the hot seat stories have stopped and they are jumping on board now. Foster committed to Bama while all of that was going on. He may flip now that Mathews is working hard on him. Shaq Wiggens will not flip to Clemson or South Carolina. He has always been all Dawg. He is just using them for a free trip.

Georgia is just rolling in the recruits! This class will have both the quality and the quantity.

What do you know, Ga’s class might actually have more prospects than the Oversigners, could Ga actually sign more than Saban, Chizik and Spurrier? When was the last time that happened?

Looks like more talent and depth is on it’s way to Athens!!!

nh gamecock what part of that web site was we suppose to read? The part where DB Kirk Garner no longer has any interest in South Carolina or the part where Shaq Williams is 100% committed to UGA. Personally I like reading how UGA stole WR Tramel Terry, possibly the number one rated recruit coming out of South Carolina.

To be surprised that a recruit would choose to take a free trip to other schools just goes to show that you are not very bright when it comes to knowing anything about recruiting. Get a clue gamecock.

I have been wanting to ask this question for more than 40 years. What on this earth would move any presumably reasonably intelligent human being to name their school gamecocks? Really, Gamecocks was the best you could come up with? South Carolina elders must have been drinking some powerful chiot to have the guts to come up with a name like that. That or they were either chicken.

Gamecock fans are delusional. They get a few good players and start to have a little success and all of a sudden they thing they have moved up to elite status in the SEC. When Lattimore leaves after next season they will come back down to reality.
