The younger brother of UGA quarterback Christian LeMay will join his brother in college.
Uriah LeMay, a 4-star wide receiver from Matthews, N.C., committed to UGA after a 10-minute ceremony on Friday. He picked the Bulldogs over his finalists of Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech.
LeMay to LeMay? That could be a popular pass connection at UGA in a couple of years. The two played together at Butler High School for the 2009 season.
“We had to do it in [high school] practice a little while ago; I don’t think the chemistry has lost its step … we’ve been working out a little bit over the years,” Uriah said at the ceremony. “We’ll have to see how it goes [at Georgia].”
Christian was redshirted as a freshman at UGA this past season, and will have four years of eligibility. Uriah is a high school junior, and will join UGA for the 2013 season. The brothers will have three seasons to play throw and catch in college.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound LeMay is commitment No. 18 for UGA’s recruiting class – and third at wide receiver. The Bulldogs, which may sign around 30 players in February, will likely take 3-4 wide receivers in this class.
