Your Georgie tek recruiting ranking this morning is # 39 and when it is over, will be # 52 as it always is with Paul Johnson. In the meantime, Mark Richt has only 1 other program with higher rankings these 12 years of his here, and he has the most NFL draft picks of any program during this same timeframe. Mark Richt averages the # 7 recruiting class nationally for 12 years – consistently. This is his biggest strength. His biggest weaknesses are his coaching staff and his attrition – along with the commensurate 3 wins in 16 games over 12 years vs teams achieving any top 10 poll ranking.

You wait until February and you will miss out on the opportunity to assist this program improving itself, because right now, our average # of stars on our recruits is not in the top 25 nationally.
We are filling up our commitment list with under-sized commitments and our 2 best recruits are both on the bubble of maybe not signing with us because they are at 2 positions where we could do without signing either and never notice it because we have so much depth at QB and RB already.

There are some good players there, the question is the overall talent. It appears they are trying to get as many guys as fast as possible. If that is true, sometimes you just get playes that have good measurements. In other words you are just trying to fill a roster. We did that at Bama when we were
under probation. We had some good players, but not particularly talented.

Overall, I’d give our recruiting class 2013 a C+
********************
And your point??
The need to copy and paste my post??
The reason it gets a C+ is because it is a work in progess. If we end now, the class is a C+. If we continue at the same rate and get to 30 signees and meet needs, the grade goes up.

Oregon makes Anthony Jenning’s list and Booboo and Richt don’t even offer? Great. Thank goodness Chip Kelly doesn’t know what he’s doing. His offense can’t hold a candle to the Bobo machine. This kid’s another Cam Newton and Kelly knows it. So do Richt and Bobo. They just don’t have the guts to act on it. 31 years and counting. You’ll never get there. The UGA fan base won’t allow it.
*******************
Georgia scored more points and gained more yards on Auburn in 2010 than Oregon’s “vaunted” offense did. Our defense couldn’t stop anyone that year. If we execute and don’t turn the ball over, our offense is fine. Chip Kelly wouldn’t win squat in the SEC. Plus he is a cheater

I’d give it about a C++ also to-date. If it continues (and if the only top recruits are both at positions we are totally stocked at beyond all belief already), it will end at C++. Way too many under-sized recruits signed to just try to make up for not signing 9 more 2012 – especially on the OL and secondary and 1 really top WR to compliment Chris Conley.

I have posters attack me all the time because of my opinions, so do you, but I don’t beat a dead horse like you do. I tried to reach out to you and bring you to the light, but you insist on the dark. My argument is about Derrick Henry’s “soft commit “. You say nothing about this! I actually think UGA can and should be TWEAKED! You on the other hand call for asphalting the whole yard instead of just cutting the grass. You go too far, you want a complete overhaul of the entire Atheletics Dept. I disagree, so you see, we are not saying the same thing. I see Derrick leaving UGA high and dry. Our present crop of RBs will be just fine without Henry, but this represents part of our attrition. You need to lighten up on the Neutron bamb talk!!!

Our offense looked fine against a team who was 1 of the top 48 with 8-5 records, all 48 other teams. Only that team, beat South Carolina while UGA once again beat no one of consequence. This is mainly a result of the fact, when you play the top teams, of which Auburn was not 2012, you have to have an offense, and our offense does only one thing well against top teams, give the ball back to their offense.

I say nothing about the flippy floppy commitments of our top 2 a Qb and Rb both of whom if they sign elsewhere, will never be noticed in view of our depth at both positions ?
That’s a lie, easily refuted by reading any one of my posts this morning, everyone of which discusses Henry.

You, on the other hand, said
EXACTLY THE SAME COMMENT I AM MAKING today on my posts about our recruiting – that what we do is
ATTRITION
and, rather than talking about whom it is we sign or don’t, we should instead work on getting our
ATTRITION FIXED.
Then, you reply to me and tell me I am not talking about Henry. How stupid a comment is that, when that is exactly found in every post of mine today.
What we are left with is you
kingdaddy ATTRITION
Excuse me; that is MY POINT. To which you reply to me ATTRITION. Yeah, that’s our problem here. You think I want to throw out the baby with the bathwater, when what I want is what you want : Us to sign players whom we really need, and play them. Put them in the games and make them happy. 33 Attrition happens because they are not
DIALED IN.
You get players dialed in, by playing them and thereby winning against top teams.
They don’t play and we lose to top teams, which is all we’ve done, and the players are
NOT DIALED IN.
Not Dialed in players do not perform vs the top teams.
You just don’t like it, that I said it.
You can say it all you want.
EXACTLY THE SAME AS I STATE.
But, I cannot say it, according to you – while you can say it according to you. I am not in here talking about
ANYONE ELSE.
You and I.
I and You.
You say what I say and that’s fine.
I say it even in reply to you saying it and AGAIN YOU CRITICIZE ME for saying it by taking it to the extreme like I don’t want to keep anyone in the AD. Sure I do. I want ears to get off his rear-end and do something for a change. I want Mark Richt to quit playing favorites and talking about his recruiting rankings, and BEAT SOMEONE.

Ramsey is not going to visit Bama. He is all Dawg. Henry is going to visit Bama. Ramsey and him spend every weekend together.
Ramsey’s influence is the best shot at Henry staying committed to UGA.
Richt has never wavered on Henry playing RB in college. All the other schools recruiting him have mentioned him at LB.
Hopefully, when it gets to the final call, Henry will remember Richt was honest with him from the start about playing running back since Henry has stated he has zero interest in playing linebacker in college

Where besides your 10:25 did you mention what I was talking about in my 9:43( derrick) You said if you repeated what I said that I would call you ugly names? You and I are nothing alike! I disagree with my school with respect. You want to put UGA in the worst light possible and have more in common with the trolls. I will say that sometimes you will critize other teams, but not as often as you slam the Doggies. I love UGA, YOU ON THE OTHER HAND ARE ONE BIG QUESTION MARK!!!

With all the likely shuffling that will happen before signing day, it’s impossible to say how good this class will be. We can safely say now that at least three SEC schools will have better classes. UGA will have to win a championship on the field before it wins one in the recruiting game.

@ Kingdaddy:
You should be ashamed upsetting TB. He stays upset enough without you extending his misery so give “The sky is falling” little twerp some leeway to avoid his daily dose of “Woe be unto anything Dawg Nation”. and “Fire everybody including the Redcoat Band”.
To his credit he found a new word(actually it closely describes his educational career quite accurately) ATTRITION . Apparently he plans to use his newfound word on here fulltime at least until the 2012 College Football season begins. Keep in mind that in his mind that word is pretty well reserved for his use only, because after all he found it.
I personally feel attrition is mostly a GOOD thing and happens to some degree at ALL COLLEGES and the NFL. TB even knows how many percentage points attrition effects various schools(Or so he thought) I gave him a couple of helpful pointers(Or so I thought) regarding establishing the correct terminology when commenting on percentage applications. Don’t know if he understood but just keep in mind what a load of negativity this man carries with him 24/7 and shares with us multiple times daily. He even showed us how UGA actually BEAT BAMMER at something(Attrition) although he wasn’t quite sure how badly the Dawgs beat the Grayshirts.
As one of your closer advisors I am recommending an apology from you to TB for whatever it was you did to him. It should be a minimum of 20 paragraphs of 100 words each which should keep him occupied for a day or so.
A couple of drinks before and during your apology writing is also suggested!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ DawginLex- It would be best if Henry went to Bama. Henry doesnt want to play LB in college, because he has never played D or special teams in high school football. I went to watch Henry play against Buford last year. I asked several of the Yulee parents why Henry didnt play both ways…Answer: “He is our entire offense, we cannot afford for him to get hurt”. They are worried about a 6′3″ kid that weights 235 pounds getting hurt in HS football…..We need durable kids at UGA….I would rather have Tyshon Dye (6′0″ 210 and 4.42). He fits the UGA mold for running backs. Let Bama have the headache of managing three (3) RB’s in the same class…..

So far I grade our recruiting for 2013 around a B.
Georgia already having 17 commits , by the end of the summer it could be 21 to 24 ,any negative talk or unnecessary pessimistic speculation is worthless chatter. Until we get all the 2012 commits in camp and practice starts there really is not much to talk about. The past is the past and I really don’t think it can be linked to the way the future turns out. With the addition of McGarity a lot of changes have already happened and a lot more are coming if we don’t start winning more Championships. McGarity has only been on the job for two years and needed the first year to assess Georgia’s overall sports program. So, actual changes have only been going on for one year. A program as big as Georgia’s will take 3 to 5 years to get things right.
Concerning the football program, we will know something around the middle of August and really know what kind of heart and soul this team has after the Missouri game.

CLASS AT UGA DOES NOT MATTER. THE RECRUITING RANKINGS AT UGA NEVER EQUATE TO A RATING IN THE TOP 10 BECAUSE RICHT IS NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP COACH.
AND UGA IS NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM.
ALABAMA IS A CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM AND NICK SABAN IS A CHAMPIONSHIP COACH.

Make no mistake, having a guy the size of Henry running the ball really gets me pumped. But, if he is afraid of competition, then he won’t be happy at any of the schools he has recruiting him.
If he wants to be the “man”, he should go to Furman or Wofford. If he is a competitor and wants to be the best, he shoudl understand that competition only makes you better.
I’m hoping he is just enjoying the recruiting experience and in the end, his close friendship with Brice Ramsey and his understanding that Richt has never wavered on him playing running back will get him in Athens

Bama will take three RB’s this class because Eddie Lacey will go pro early in addition one of our young backs is a a treath to be gone and I will leave it at that. You can’t prevent or control every situation but Nick does a great job of trying. The transfer of our #2 QB was huge. Most thought Phil would have gone but thought he would have left after the NC thus Nick would have taken 2 QB’s in this last class. You tell a guy last Jan that he will come into T-town and fight for backup in stead of being #3 then that changes the landscape and quick. If you doubt that then look at how Brice reacted to the change to be #2.

It is nice that you can name a half dozen players who left the Georgia program, but I asked if you could name ONE guy who was kicked off the team or shown the door because of injury or not fitting into the scheme (not being good enough to help UGA).
Not a single player you listed fits in that category. Jordan Love? He played in the secondary for Georgia as a backup and didn’t play very well (in my opinion). The coaches may have told him that he has to get better to play more, but they didn’t force him out of UGA. I don’t know Jordan Love, but my guess is that he saw 4 seniors returning for UGA in the secondary and some very talented younger players and he figured he would get more playing time somwhere else. He certainly didn’t have his ’ship yanked for being injured or for a lack of making plays. With the suspensions of the entire starting secondary for UGA early this season, I bet that Richt wishes that Love and probably Derrick Owens had stayed and they might be second guessing their own decision based current events.
Some players end up not liking the program or the coaches as much as they thought they would or don’t think they will be able to earn much playing time, so they transfer or quit. By the way, EVERY one of the guys you posted were given an UNCONDITIONAL right to transfer. To tech, to Florida, to ANYWHERE they want to play. Nothing Immoral about that is there?
There have been no articles that ANY of the players you mentioned were “run off” because they were hurt or weren’t good enough. There haven’t even been Rumors to that effect. I guess you are “breaking” the story, congratulations.
