Lakedawg … have you been peeping in peoples windows again or … are you just using the mental pictures from your last solo fantasy session ?

Either way … you obviously can’t grasp the two links above . The “cuties” in question want someone who can get the job done on the financial front … not a “man” who drops his rust buckets muffler when it hangs on the entrance of the Burger King parking lot LOL :-)

But not the BSU or LSU game so MAYBE it cost the dWags 2 games not 3.

I would say a missed FG didn’t cost the USC game. UGa was LUCKY to even get back in that game. UGa was never in the lead.

The success or failure of the DAWGS recruiting seems to parallel with the success of Nick Sabin convincing players to drop their commitment to UGA and go with the Tide. Sabin is hot on the tails of all the top players in Georgia and doing pretty well at beating the DAWGS to the punch. Gee, I hate seeing this!! There is no honor among thieves! Word is not sacred anymore! The University of Alabama can’t offer a player anything that the University of Georgia doesn’t have including a gateway to the NFL. Oh, I’m sorry, I suppose they can offer a championship or two!! I guess winning isn’t everything……it’s the only thing!! DAWGS, pulleeze GO!!

===========================================

if you look at the post by tony at 9:53 am out of the eight players he named at least five of the players he named were already on the Tide list … some long before UGA was even twitching on them . That number might go to six (less likely now than it would have been earlier because of developments elsewhere in Tide recruiting )

It could also already be dropped to four because of the same reasons ( I would say definitely already dropped to four except the young man in question is one worth taking regardless ) There is another player tony did not name that you see other Dawgs putting in the “must get” category that is a very viable Tide target as well .

While I know you were just picking at the Dawgs about Saban looking over their list to select his next player … I did find what tony wrote interesting because of the above :-)

(1) How does it measure up to the 33 number you put on it, since we undersigned and have only 76 remaining of the 109 scholarships signed by Mark Richt to play this season. 9 count toward the 2012 class, we way woefully under-signed including only 1 defensive back. Then, the 25 for 2013.

(2) How does it measure up in terms of average recruit ranking. On this point, we aren’t even in the top 25, signing up anyone and everyone we can.

(3) Then, after both of these measures are applied to what we actually sign, since some of our commitments are not even going to sign with so many being thrown against the wall to see if they stick or not, we can measure it in terms of did we really need yet another running back, another quarterback, or whether once again, we have left great holes obvious to everyone – such as we went 6 consecutive recruiting signed scholarship classes without a fullback when there are 200 fullbacks signed to scholarships every single season.

(4) Attrition is the last measure. If, as you perceive it, we sign 9 against 2012 and 25 against 2013 – given that over 30 percent of the recruits signed to scholarships for 2012 are just gone, good riddance, missing from the roster, how many of the 33 based on previous 30 percent attrition, 10, will be just gone, good riddance, missing from the roster.
________________________________________________
I’d say the over-whelming measure will be how poor a recruit in the far right column compared to the other schools, have we had to settle on, to fill the numbers – given all this attrition.

with the 25 limit in addition to 85 all the better schools in the SEC get good players. The difference is what they do with them once they arrive within the program. It appears a group of folks within the UGA AD complex isn’t happy with what they see. The buyout issue will have to be told once the contract is signed and that will be very interesting. Bama got stuck with 3 million for Mike Shula and we just finished the last payment of 500k last year since Mike went for the payment plan instead of the lump sum then again that might have been in his contract or he could have just helped Mal with the money situation. If so then hats off to the young guy.Dooley was a very good coach but I am not sure he was great but no far from that. I sure hope UGA doesn’t hire a great coach for that would make things difficult for Bama and also mess up this blog! We’re just having some fun…right.

at this point, given that no class really matters until signing day, you would have to give it at A+ or very good, which MC does not even give as a ranking.

I don’t believe all these young men will be here when the dust settles. I hope I’m wrong. This is already a very impressive looking group that should only get better as it grows. I am still not sold on the weak-commit of D. Henry, but maybe he won’t wait until the last minute to bail on us and we can replace him with a DGD!!!

Scout said if the these two kids came out the year before they would be the best two players. Wow! I seen Foster play and he is better than Tree right now. Tree is the MLB thqat starts at UGA.

Here we are in year 12 of the Mark Richt era, and once again, issues on the OL and issues in the Secondary. Both are the direct result of recruiting without a game plan. Just sign players and sit back and watch the attrition.

2012 :

TOP HALF IN THE NATION OL starts returning :

105 OL starts returning vols
104 OL starts returning LSU
102 OL starts returning Oklahoma
095 OL starts returning Alabama
095 OL starts returning Texas A&M
083 OL starts returning Georgia tek
079 OL starts returning crocodiles
068 OL starts returning Mizzou
065 OL starts returning Notre Shame
065 OL starts returning Arkansas

BOTTOM HALF OF NATION OL starts returning :

061 OL starts returning South Carolina
060 OL starts returning Vandie
057 OL starts returning Ole Miss
050 OL starts returning Kentucky
050 OL starts returning FSU
042 OL starts returning Ohio State # 100 in nation
037 OL starts returning Stanford # 101 in nation
035 OL starts returning Auburn # 106 in nation
031 OL starts returning Mark Richt # 110 in nation
017 OL starts returning Virginia Tech # 121 nation
017 OL starts returning Penn State # 121 nation

While the teams in the Top Half nationally are not going to run the football on our Defensive Front 2012, we ain’t going to run the ball 2012 on Top Defenses either; however, we will run up the stats against the 11 teams 2012 we play who none of them made any top 25 poll except for South Carolina.

Why this continues in year 12 of the Mark Richt era, as it has so many years during the 1st eleven years of his here, is that he specifically does not have a plan for recruiting 4 or 5 Top Offensive Linemen every year of the size bulk and height required for SEC competition, not that we have a typical SEC schedule, as we did not 2011 and do not 2012, with the dead last easiest schedule of all SEC teams both 2011 and now 2012 as well. When you recruit 255 lbs OL, you are giving a scholarship away to a guy who probably will never play on the OL. When you recruit 6’ and 6’ 1” OL, you are probably also recruiting those who will never play on the OL for us. When that is all you recruited on the OL, and maybe 1 top OL to go with them, this is what you get in year 12 of the Mark Richt era.

Again.

The last couple of years, UGA has had a disturbing trend with all of the suspensions, transfers and injuries. I want to believe CMR has addressed this but we could and will be effected by this very thing this year. Other than Missouri, we can thank the soft schedule for helping us through this. This leads me to everybodies favorite RB! This kid and immature kids like him are the reason UGA has had sad trend of attrition! Ask yourself what will happen to our recruiting needs if he decides to go somewhere else after we have turned down quite a few running backs because Coach Richt is counting on Derrick and here we are trusting someone who has indicated that HE WILL LET US DOWN! I’m not arguing with anyone about this. This has been a trend for us and it looks like it will repeat itself again. When will CMR learn? When Derrick H. indicated he was looking at Alabama, Richt should have said right then, that he was looking for a top tier RB. LOYALTY WORKS BOTH WAYS! Even if D.H. does come to UGA, he doesn’t have enough loyalty or maturity to contribute to the TEAM. You wonder why UGAhad a problem with attrition? THIS IS WHY…

Mark Richt Signed Scholarships for 2012 to :

1.AJ Harmon SR # 10 OT nation 5-Star, academic failure Flunked-Out, transfer
2.Brent Benedict SO # 10 OT 4-Star, transfer over Strength & Conditioning
3.Johnathan Owens SR # 39 OT listed med disq
4.Chris Little SR # 10 OT 4-Star transfer, ruled ineligible – NCAA Violation
______________
Say these 4 were here for 2012, as they were signed to be here – looking at their national ranking of top 10 all 3 of the 4 and the 4th was injury issues that moved him down the rankings – where we would be on our OL for this start # 6 in the nation football program who has not beat a single top team in years and years and years ?

We’d be in very good shape on the OL. If a bullfrog had wings, he could fly instead of bumping his buns on the rocks.

We talk about signing recruits here, when only 1 other program does a better job of that than us nationally. What we should be talking about is the attrition, with 33 missing including these key 4 on the OL 2012 when we should be making a run at top teams and don’t have an OL, and including the 11 Secondary players, just gone, good riddance, transfers – kicked off – encouraged to leave – NCAA violations – flunked out – arrested – suspended -jerked around by the coaching staff without a plan in the world of what to do with our signed recruits – and with 150 % more attrition for Mark Richt 2012 than Alabama, and a higher percentage than that compared to LSU.

NOWHERE MORE OBVIOUS than on our OL and secondary
