Georgia Tech secured a "package deal" from Tri-Cities HS -- offensive linemen No. 73 Jeremi Hall (6-5, 350) and No. 71 Shamire Devine (6-7, 331)
A package deal of offensive linemen to Georgia Tech is complete.
Jeremi Hall, a 6-foot-5, 350-pounder from Tri-Cities High School, committed to Georgia Tech on Saturday. Hall followed in the footsteps of his Tri-Cities teammate, Shamire DeVine, who committed to Georgia Tech last week.
“Georgia Tech recruited me the hardest, to this point,” Hall told the AJC.
Hall is a 4-star who is ranked as the nation’s No. 6 offensive guard by Rivals.com.
Hall, who has a 3.3 GPA and may study Computer Science or Architecture, has early football scholarship offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Purdue and Kentucky, among others. He nearly committed to the Yellow Jackets during a February visit.
Georgia Tech now has five commitments for its 2013 football recruiting class – with two being running backs. The Yellow Jackets project to sign 14-15 next February.

BUT…………….Athletes don’t major in Architecture! It doesn’t usually work. Sean Bedford was a Walk-on then earned a starting position while studying Aerospace Engineering. There are a few Majors that Athletes just don’t really have the time to do. Well and Sleep. How Sean Bedford did it i will never know. He is at Florida studying to be a Lawyer.

Should be interesting to read the troll’s negative spin. Let me guess…too big or no offer from UGA means he has no talent.

We already lead the nation in rushing with guys recruited for a different offense. With these guys opening holes we may lead the galaxy.
Our future LOS is looking pretty strong.
Welcome aboard Jeremi! Have a great senior season, hit the weight room in the fall of 13′ and show what you got the following spring.

@ Dewnsav……YOU are the troll. Although it is not a Tech blog per se, it IS a blog about Tech recruiting, and you are on here posting garbage. When you see any of us on a UGA blog, or a blog about UGA recruiting, THEN and ONLY THEN can you call any of us trolls. I don’t know about the others you listed, but I NEVER even read a blog about UGA because I don’t give a damn what happens at the cesspool. You, on the other hand, are obviously obsessed with what goes on at Tech. Get a life, bubba.

@ Jailyard Dawg……Tech only has 14 spots available because the majority of Tech players stay in school and don’t transfer or get kicked off the team. UGA has apparently lost a good many of their players since their original signing dates. Some other schools in the south oversign every year and then have to get rid of players they don’t want. Neither Tech nor UGA resorts to tactics like that.

Awesome, Tech is wracking up this year. 2 very nice RB’s, 2 very nice OL, 1 very nice DL plus
Thomas O’Reilly and Austin McClellan as preferred Walk-on.
OL
O’Reilly 6-foot-3 – 325 pounds
Hall, 6-foot-5 – 350-pounds
Devine 6-foot-6 – 340 pouns
DL
Commissiong 6-foot-3 – 305 pounds
Getting Austin McClellan as preferred Walk-on will be great add, he will be awesome, highlights:

The reason why Tech ony will sign 15 in 2013 is because we had less attrition. Of course, Muttlanders won’t know what attrition means.

Architecture does seem unlikely. Of all the majors at Tech it’s the one that seems to demand the most time from its students. There’s a reason the lights in that building were always on all night.

Thats close to 700 lbs that will be flopping on the ground chop blocking for the next 4 years.
Hope they enjoy that.
And losing to Georgia every year.
BTW Did you know
CPJ is 2 – 10 against the three hardest teams on his schedule. ( UGA, VA Tech, Bowl Game )
In other words not weak A She She teams.
Including 0 for the last 6.
Pretty impressive stuff.

Oh, we know what attrition means. Quit trying to act so superior.
GREAT get for the Jackets. This is why folks need to calm down just a bit when worrying about recruiting in the Spring. Johnson is obviously narrowing his efforts on a smaller number of guys since he doesn’t have as many ’ships to give this year.
You definitely have reason to celebrate, GT fans. Congrats.

Looks like a great pick up for Tech!. Question though. With the offence GT runs, are these guys too big for the OL. Seems like Tech has always preffered the smaller more athletic linemen. I would consider moving one of these monsters over to the DL to plug the middle in the 3 4 scheme….

The rants represent the truth. CHANCE WARMACK,(ALABAMA),JUJUAN JAMES,( TENNESEE),JOE HARRIS(SOUTH CAROLINA),BRANDON GREENE,(ALABAMA) MAX GARCIA,(FLORIDA), JOSHUA OUTLAW,(FLORIDA),JEREMI HALL, SHAMIRE DEVINE,and this is just the start. Dawgs aren’t through ignoring kids such as these. Great athletes who are being denied the opportunity to play for Georgia for one reason and one reason only. The whole football program and fan base should be ashamed. But UGA fans and this AD McGarity are a different breed of cat. they’re proud of what they’re doing. The real injustice is their utter failure to offer Marietta QB. ANTHONY JENNINGS, probably the best QB in America, and a UGA legacy. McGarity, the athletic board and the rest of the rednecks that make UGA football what it is, was and forever will be, TRULY SUCK.

With some of the recent NCAA changes in blocking, Paul Johnson is somewhat changing his philosophy in blocking and the Jackets may be looking more like the old Nebraska/Oklahoma Wishbone Offensive lines in the past; big, strong, and fast so they can get downline. This philosophy should also help offset some of the bigger, stronger, defensive lines that are trying to disrupt the initial option play by crashing the line of scrimmage before the QB can make the handoff or pitch.

GT for now looks fine in recruiting, but as the college footbal editions roll out in July, with PJ’s fat face on their covers, entitled COACH ON THE HOT SEAT edition, the so called early committs will reverse.
TO lead the universe in rushing is the emptiest stat in that universe, IF you end up losing the big games and not winning your wimply ACC Division and going to a low level bowl that is broadcast back in Big A at 2AM. SUCH is life at The Flats. THIS IS CPJ’s WORLD.

There you go again, posting LIES in your ongoing “Hate the Dawgs” one man Circus.
Georgia recruited each of those young men whose name you posted with the exception of Warmack which obviously was a mistake. Hall and Devine not so much due to concerns about their body types and ability to play in the SEC. I don’t believe Alabama offered either.
Are you ignorant or simply so filled with dislike for The University of Georgia that the truth is not in you?
It was well documented how hard Georgia recruited James, Greene, Garcia, and were first to offer Harris. What about that do you refuse to accept? It is very clear what your are insinuating, and it is a complete lie. Georgia pursued Greene throughout the process, sadly the Dawgs missed. Harris is from S Car and lived in this state a short time, grew up a S Car fan. None of us who are Georgia fans are happy with the status of our OL, the former highly regarded coach failed. Wonder why Texas wanted him?
