Who is the state's best QB prospect? Atlanta Elite 11 QB MVP Anthony Jennings is part of unusually deep and talented 2013 class in Georgia (AJC)

One of the Southeast’s top quarterbacks has released a list of his 10 finalists.

Anthony Jennings, a 6-foot-1, 205-pounder from Marietta High School, was named MVP of the Alanta Elite 11 QB camp last month.

“He wanted to narrow it down to make it more manageable,” Marietta coach Scott Burton told the AJC. “He ended up with around 35 scholarship offers. He wanted to get it down to 10 to take a harder look at those schools, and then let the other ones move on with other quarterbacks they are recruiting.”

Here’s the 10 in alphabetical order:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • LSU
  • Mississippi State
  • Missouri
  • Nebraska
  • Ole Miss
  • Oregon
  • South Florida
  • Wisconsin

Jennings grew up a fan of UGA, where his father played college football. However, the Bulldogs already have a commitment at the QB position with Brice Ramsey of Camden County.

What’s next for Anthony? He will travel to LSU this weekend, and then make recruiting trips over the next 10 days to Wisconsin, Missouri and Oregon. Jennings will likely commit late this summer.

Anthony, it’s okay. You’re not in my Top Ten of QB’s that I would like to have this year either.

Good luck to him. I’m a Dawg and Blue Devil alum and wish him the best. Coincidentally, I have a lot of in-laws that went to Mizzou so here’s putting in a good word for the Tigers. Columbia is a fun college town.

I love me some Brice Ramsey at UGA but definitely would not mind having Jennings as well. He’s going to be a hell of a QB somewhere.

Best of luck kid but you might want to remove Bama for the same reason UGA is not in the hunt.

Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and South Carolina already have their QB of the Future. If he is smart he will knock 2 more off that list and look at 8 and not waste anyones time, especially his.

That’s just great UGA. The best QB in America, a Uga legacy and no offer. What a program Here’s a kid that has more than earned the right to perform for his home state school. his dream school, his father’s school, and he’s denied that opportunity for one reason and one reason only. He can now join your dubious list of in state QBs that you idiots failed to recruit and who ended up leading their teams to National Titles. Charlie Ward./FSU, Sean Jones/ Ga. Tech, Homer Jordan/ Clenson, and noted tight end prospect, Cam Newton/ Auburn. That’s 4 national titles and 2 Heisman winners. Embarassing to most, but not y’all,. Y’all are ok with it. Why don’t you own up to why your ok with it.To why you don’t have a problem with it. It’s because you don’t have the guts to. Richt, Booboo,. UGA football and everything associated with it makes me want to PUKE. It’s ok though. you’ll get what’s coming to you. You always do. In the not too distant future, this kid’s gonna CAM NEWTON your ass.

Alabama already has a QB committment from last week. Guess this kid figures that Ramsey is much better than Bama’s commit and I believe the kid that comitted to Bama was a 4 or 5 star QB.

Ramsey can make all the throws and make them strong.

Like Stafford and we all know he went #1 in the NFL draft….hear that tide roll? See how Bama was throwing the kitchen sink at Ramsey up until the last week? Tide will get UGA QB leftovers. UGA has about 5 QB’s that could start at Bama….

You haven’t won a national title since REAGAN defeated CARTER, and you keep making and supporting the same idiotic decisions that wiil continue to prevent you from doing so. Like moths to a flame. Over and over again. I honestly believe your South. Ga, QB coach, Mike Bobo, prefers Hutson Mason to this kid. This kind of backwards, backwoods, thinking is exactly what has led to your futility. 31 years! No wonder.

If you give them a microphone, they will speak. If you ask them, they will give you a list. If you show up with cameras, they will put on a show and flip hats. See how that works? If you don’t want them showing off and running their mouths, then don’t provide the resources and the platform. Easy!!!

Dear Tide Roll:

You caught a huge break against Texas when Colt McCoy went out with an injury early and then tide barely hung on for a win

I’m still waiting for the rubber match between UA and LSU. Best 2 out of 3, right? The elephants should have never been given a second chance.

tide roll's "credibility"

May 25th, 2012

Is he a Bama fan? Would a true Alabama fan do the following?
1. Knock the best offensive lineman in the country because he went to a private school and is the wrong color for TR. Barrett Jones is a “twofer” in this case.
2. An offensive line good enough to win a NC is “too white” for TR. How do we know this? He is upset over UGA’s OL racial makeup, and Bama started more whites than Georgia.
3. Refuse to admit that a QB who won a national title may be better than the one who recently transferred. I have called him out on his lack of support for AJ McCarron and he dares not reply.
4. Imply that Nick Saban has poor work ethics and lacks recruiting smarts. This one takes the cake- remember when he claimed Bama was late getting on Newton in 2010 because tide roll said “Saban thought he was a Georgia lock until too late.”

At least he is smart enough not to try to refute logical posts. Gets owned every time.

It is easy to hate but hard to love, just look at all the hate filled comments on these blogs. Unfortunately, bad behavior on blogs is like gravity. It accumulates at the lowest point possible.
