Note: Check out the video for a surprising prediction
Will Alabama sign the top two college prospects from the state of Georgia?
One of them is already committed to Alabama, while the other is rumored to have the Crimson Tide as his leader.
These guys are good. Well, they’re grrreat.
Robert Nkemdiche, the defensive end from Grayson High School, is ranked as the consensus No. 1 prospect in the nation. He’s the first-ever prospect from Georgia to ascend to the top spot.
Reuben Foster is the linebacker who is ranked No. 2 in the nation by Scout, Rivals and 247Sports. He recently transferred from Troup High School to Auburn (Ala.) High School after his coach was fired but we’re still counting him as a Georgia player.
That’s quite a 1-2 punch of prospects.
What about Nkemdiche? He doesn’t claim a favorite but Alabama and Ole Miss (his brother plays there) are rumored to be his co-leaders. Nkemdiche visited Alabama in February and was going to try to return for a spring practice but never made it.
Meanwhile, since last February, Nkemdiche has made two visits each to both Ole Miss and Clemson. Should Alabama fans be concerned?
Then there’s Foster, who is committed to Alabama but has flirted with UGA and Auburn.
Again, Foster transferred to Auburn High School, which is really interesting. He now plays on the same football team as the sons of two football coaches at Auburn University – including one of the Southeast’s best recruiters in Trooper Taylor.
With Trooper’s son on same high school team as Reuben, that basically gives Taylor unlimited access to the No. 2 prospect in the country within NCAA rules. Should Alabama fans be concerned? Foster is already joking with fellow recruits by saying “War Eagle.”
Will Alabama sign both? My guess is that one of them will end up at an archrival, and you’ll have to watch the video to see and understand the prediction.
What’s your prediction? Will Alabama take both elite Georgians, one or none? And which one? Please post below.
