Will Alabama sign the top 2 prospects from Georgia?

Note: Check out the video for a surprising prediction

Will Alabama sign the top two college prospects from the state of Georgia?

One of them is already committed to Alabama, while the other is rumored to have the Crimson Tide as his leader.

These guys are good. Well, they’re grrreat.

My prediction is that Alabama will get ...

Robert Nkemdiche, the defensive end from Grayson High School, is ranked as the consensus No. 1 prospect in the nation. He’s the first-ever prospect from Georgia to ascend to the top spot.

Reuben Foster is the linebacker who is ranked No. 2 in the nation by Scout, Rivals and 247Sports. He recently transferred from Troup High School to Auburn (Ala.) High School after his coach was fired but we’re still counting him as a Georgia player.

That’s quite a 1-2 punch of prospects.

What about Nkemdiche? He doesn’t claim a favorite but Alabama and Ole Miss (his brother plays there) are rumored to be his co-leaders. Nkemdiche visited Alabama in February and was going to try to return for a spring practice but never made it.

Meanwhile, since last February, Nkemdiche has made two visits each to both Ole Miss and Clemson. Should Alabama fans be concerned?

Nick Saban has two BCS titles at Bama (AP)

Will Alabama sign the top two highest-rated prospects in Georgia history? (AP)

Then there’s Foster, who is committed to Alabama but has flirted with UGA and Auburn.

Again, Foster transferred to Auburn High School, which is really interesting. He now plays on the same football team as the sons of two football coaches at Auburn University – including one of the Southeast’s best recruiters in Trooper Taylor.

With Trooper’s son on same high school team as Reuben, that basically gives Taylor unlimited access to the No. 2 prospect in the country within NCAA rules. Should Alabama fans be concerned? Foster is already joking with fellow recruits by saying “War Eagle.”

Will Alabama sign both? My guess is that one of them will end up at an archrival, and you’ll have to watch the video to see and understand the prediction.

What’s your prediction? Will Alabama take both elite Georgians, one or none? And which one? Please post below.

If they do, they do. If they don’t, they don’t. Would love to have them at UGA, but I don’t think I’ll lose any sleep one way or the other. Just spare us the theatrics.

As a Dawg fan, it would be very disappointing if this state had the top two kids in the nation and we didn’t get either.

Hey Mike. What about Bryce Raamsey? He should be added to this list. And if Saban keeps cleaning house in our state, I’m going to get about as restless as losing 5-6 games/year.

What are the chances of losing our qb of the future? Or is Bryce playing Saban so he can recruit like Ray Drew did when he was a recruit? Gotta love being middle aged trying to figure out what a bunch of prima Donna high school football players are going to do! I need a life…

hey we got to stop Saban – How embarrasing if you have resources such as GA has to compete with Bama- Maybe we get Adams gone and a new Pres has his priorities right and will pressure Mcg and Richt to get it done or get out- no excuse for Saban getting our kids and even throwing it in Richts face by saying GA is his priority- what you gonna do about it?

Sometimes Mike I think you have turned into the total gossip reporter. Don’t you owe Nick Saban something for being the subject of your reports? I see how you profit, but what does Saban get out of it? He doesn’t need exposure, so cross that off your list.
What you ought to be writing is how Bama comes in CMR’s back yard and get’s the state’s recruits.
Am I the only guy in Ga that noticed that? Instead of kissing CMR’s backside, report how he is getting outworked. Dah. You don’t always have to tell the locals what they want to hear.

Dawgs get their share from the Peach state, but I hate seeing 4 or 5 of the top 10 leave every year. I don’t blame Mark or his staff because I think they work the top 10 pretty good. Georgia is in a spot where they have a good program but not a dominate one where 8 of the top 10 will go to UGA vs 4 or 5 of them. Saban has it clicking over there, and he comes over here selling NC accomplishments with more to come if you’ll sign.

Interesting that Reuben Foster is originally from Alabama, and recently moved back. Some on here think its Richt and companies fault because a kid who is from Alabama wants to go to college where he is from. Hard to fight Mickey Conn when he doesn’t relay messages or will not let certain coaches in to watch practice. he has one goal and that goal is to push Robert to Alabama.

Why is there no expectation for CPJ at GT to sign any of these top Ga. HS. prospects?

It seems as if the expectation is that UGA sign them all.

Where is the “pressure” for CPJ to sign GT’s “fair share” of these top Ga. HS prospects?

OH boy another throw rocks at Nick Saban day. Mike C …please give these folks a break and write something good about UGA football. Robert is all Bama but he is enjoying his visits. He needs to be very careful for folks are setting traps for that guy no doubt beside if he doesn’t get his act together in the classroom he will be starting for Ray Perkins Juco team is Mississippi this fall.

MIke…no need to mention NCAA rules along with the name Trooper Taylor Ok.

Factoid…..
The really crazy thing is that it’s easy to see the talent of these guys and forget the amount of talent that is set to report at the end of the month. Bama has 18 more guys coming into the fold, including nine guys who were ranked among the nation’s top 150 high school players. Two of those guys (Landon Collins and Eddie Williams) were ranked in the top ten.

When those 18 join the returning guys in the fall, that will give Bama 84 guys on scholarship – by my numbers, at least. The staff doesn’t make those numbers public, so no one knows if Cade Foster is still on scholarship, or if Jeremy Shelley might be. What is truly scary for Tide opponents is that Bama will be a national title contender despite the fact that of the 84 guys on scholarship, 54 will be freshmen or sophomores. In fact, Bama will take the field with just 8 scholarship seniors.

In other words, this brilliant run of football isn’t likely to come to a close any time soon. Enjoy it, folks

The top prospect in Georgia is Elite 11 quarterback ANTHONY JENNINGS, whom Richt and Booboo are basically ignoring. The kid’s the second coming of Cam Newton and a UGA legacy as well. It’s unbelievable isn’t it? Richt/Booboo are at it again! Those two basically handed us a National Title by failing to properly evaluate and sign OT JAMES CARPENTER from Hepzibah and OG CHANCE WARMACK from Atlanta Westlake ( Former UGA OG RESTY BEADLES was Warmack’s position coach at Westlake!). CARPENTER dominated TEXAS in our National Titile win, and WARMACK will be a 4 year starter for us and has TWO NATIONAL CHMPIONSHIP RINGS! CARPENTER went on to become a first round draft pick of the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS. Richt and Booboo, along with Booboo’s chewtobacco buddy Will Friend, are at it yet again. They basically handed us Atlanta Cedar Grove OT and Under Armour All-American BRANDON GREENE by failing to offer in a timely manner. This kid is going to be a monster for us and played for former Columbia High Coach Ray Bonner, who has favored Georgia for years. It’s unbelievable isn’t it? Saban needs to send Richt a ring.

Also: MEMO to the Richt/Booboo tandem: CAM NEWTON AIN”T NO TIGHT END. The only reason this guy Bobo is in the position he’s in is because he’s married to Barb Dooley’s niece. Vince Dooley has influence over the Athletic Board, which basically has the power to hire or fire Richt. Richt of course knows this and senses to need to keep Vince, and more importantly, Barb happy. He does so by keeping Bobo in the position he’s in. It’s an incredible conflict of interest and explains why Bobo hasn’t been replaced. Richt, the Preacherman, duty to the program and it’s fan base (that’s you guys) is to hire the best available assistant coaches and place them in positions that will make you competitive with the best teams in the Country. Instead, he’s placing unskilled assistants in positions that will benefit him personally. He’s is basically sacrificing UGA football in order to stay on the gravy train.

A UGA commit recruiting kids to UGA is his personal choice. A BAMA commit recruit kids to UA, well he is being forced to by Saban. You guys start to sound more and more like Auburn fans every day.

Saban spends 90 minutes on Skype with Brice Ramsey

@tide roll, you could not be farther from the truth on your post 8″56am. Michael Adams took totally control and rules like a dictator over the Univ and Athletic Department. Vince Dooley has nothing to say about who stays as coach or goes. While playing for Vince and Russell, an attitude existed that created fire at all times to work hard and win, not anything like the Richt crusade of BS. One thing was always the case with a Dooley team, we fought from start to finish regardless of the score. I have not seen this type play from any of Richts teams including last year when several teams steamrolled our defense in the second half of games: Vandy, B St, S Carolina, Lsu, Michigan St and a few others that outfought our team with lesser talent, Kentucky, Miss St, Florida. We are far from a top level team and look for more of a 5th to 7th place finish in the SEC in 2012.
