Nick Saban hasn’t given up on flipping UGA’s QB of the future.

The Alabama coach and Brice Ramsey spent 90 minutes talking over Skype on Wednesday, a family member confirmed.

Ramsey, the rising senior quarterback at Camden County High School, committed to UGA last summer over Florida, Florida State and Clemson, among others.

Alabama, Ohio State, Florida and other schools have continued to recruit Ramsey in hopes of changing his mind.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Ramsey could not be reached for comment on Wednesday by the AJC but has repeatedly told reporters that he remains committed to UGA.

UPDATE: Rivals analyst Keith Niebuhr tweeted this on Thursday:

Sounds like #Alabama is the only real threat to #UGA for QB commit Brice Ramsey, who told me, “If’s it’s not Georgia, it’ll be Alabama.”

I thought this is the Atlanta paper. If I constantly want to read stuff about alabama I’ll subscribe to one their newspapers. Come on guys!! There is more than plenty of stuff to tell us about with all of the schools here. But I guess that would require some actual work rather than just pulling stuff off the wire.

I wonder if any of you dawgy fans ever do any research before they post what they call facts? UGA is 67th in bcs schools academic rankings. UA is 3 spots behind. UA football graduation rate is near the top at 68 percent while Uga is near the bottom at 57 percent. up from 2 years ago at 41 percent which was the very bottom. Do ypur reaserch before you post.

NOT…………………………………..AJC has a SABAN CRUSH. They are doing nothing but giving BAMA all the the publicity they need.

Almost every recruit says the same things…………………………….I am waiting on BAMA to offer. The recruits know that if BAMA will offer then the other big time programs will offer also.

I love it when I see an article about the CRIMSON TIDE.

ROLL TIDE ROLL

Oh, by the way……………………………………….When is that UGA – ESPN commercial coming out. LOL

If we lose this kid, it will cripple our class. That is not hyperbole, it is a fact. Ramsey is the glue that is holding these early commits together. He leaves, the rest of them start looking around as well.
