UGA-turned-UCF commit Chester Brown of Hinesville, Ga. (247Sports.com)
Ex-UGA recruit Chester Brown, who was forced to withdraw his longtime commitment to the Bulldogs due to an immigration issue, pledged to Central Florida on Sunday, said a report.
The 6-foot-5, 340-pound offensive lineman from Bradwell Institute high school committed to Central Florida at the end of his official visit, according to UCFSports.com’s Brandon Helwig.
“I went back to the hotel Saturday night and had a meeting with my brothers,” Brown told the website. “I called my parents and they said, ‘If you feel this is the place for you and you feel peace in your heart then go ahead and tell them you’re going to sign.’ … This morning I went to Coach (George) O’Leary’s office. He was actually surprised when I told him I was going to sign on Wednesday.”
Brown earned a football scholarship to UGA at last summer’s Dawg Night prospect and committed to the Bulldogs on the spot. He was one of the most enthusiastic members of UGA’s 2012 recruiting class until recently learning about a controversial Georgia Board of Regents policy that bans the enrollment of undocumented students. Brown was raised in the U.S. by Somaon parents who allegedly are illegal immigrants, reported the AJC’s Chip Towers.
The AJC’s Jeff Schultz wrote a super column on the dilemma that you can read by clicking here.
Back to Brown and UCF: O’Leary has an interesting talent assessment on Chester Brown: Rather than offensive line, he thinks the big guy has a better skill set to be a college defensive lineman, according to UCFSports.com.
Meanwhile, the loss of Brown due to an immigration policy is a stinging blow for UGA. With less than 72 hours from Wednesday’s signing day, the Bulldogs have only 16 commitments and room to sign as many as 12 more. You can read more of an overview by going here.

[9:30 a.m. Monday] The AJC’s Chip Towers spoke with Bradwell Institute coach Jim Walsh, who said the Brown was “still kind open” with his recruitment. “I’m not sure of the accuracy of that,” Walsh said of Brown’s UCF commitment. “We’ve had some recent things going on.” Click here to read Chip’s report

State of Florida has had immigration problems since the dumb peanut farmer was Prez and let in boatloads of Mariel boatlift cubans from Castro’s jails.

This whole situation brings up a lot of questions.
How does a person attend public high school with no birth certificate?
How did he get a drivers license?
How did he play youth sports?
Why is he not being deported? with his parents?
My own children who were born here(Georgia, USA), have had to provide a their birth certificate for all these activities. How did he get by?
Why is GHSA not investigating his high school for maybe…expulsion from GHSA?
Why is no one talking about all the rules that were broken along the way?

@Tampa Gator
Yeah … I know what you mean but I’ve learned to expect it from these type of people . Some folks just don’t have it in them to express their emotions in a constructive manner …
@ Crimson Crush, Yeah…….I know what YOU mean. Like the Bammer who poisoned *Awbarn’s trees, or like the Bammer who sexually molested the passed out LSU fan in New Orleans? Bama and *Awbarn are nothing more than football programs with 3rd-rate trade schools attached. And that’s all either will ever be because they’re in the backwards, back woods state of Alabammer.

some dude the other day announced research findings that there is no G spot
Couple of questions come to mind:
1.)Why didn’t he do that research back in the 1970’s and 80’s and why wasn’t I one of the testers?
2.)Do we not quit looking?

Some direct quotes from a Junior prospect (Wiggins) in reference to his high school teammate J.Williams. Any comments??
“I am a little confused at Ja’Quay Williams,” Wiggins said. “He called me from Auburn when he heard about Demarre got his offer and said, “You need to go up there and get that offer so me, you and Demarre can play together at UGA!”
“When he said that I (Wiggins) was shaking my head like “huh?”

Interesting thing on Geno ryan . He was jabbing at AU about signing day on twitter and some took it to mean he knew something about recruits from Georgia who were deciding between the two schools . ( UGA vs AU )
Who knows … might have just been having fun with AU fans … but that was the idea some Bama read his tweet as .
