Josh Manley, the nephew of former NFL star Dexter Manley, committed to Syracuse on Sunday.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder from Milton High School said he also had interest from Tulane, Central Florida, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Virginia, Louisville, Howard and UAB, among others.
“I chose Syracuse because of the academics first, and then the program that the coaches are establishing,” Manley said. “It was a ‘family’ feel when I first stepped on campus.”
Manley, who is projected to play DE in college, committed after visiting Syracuse this weekend.
“The highlight of my visit was the connection that other recruits and me made with the players that were already there,” Manley said. “Within the first 20-30 minutes of meeting everyone, there was no tension between anyone … it was like family right off the bat, without any hesitation.”
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT OVER THE WEEKEND
