Ray Buchanan Jr., son of the former NFL Pro Bowler, will decide between Arkansas and Ole Miss on Saturday.
The 5-foot-11, 176-pounder from Peachtree Ridge High School is scheduled to announce his college decision live on GPB during the telecast of the Corky Kell Classic at the Georgia Dome. It will be televised live around 6:30-7 p.m. and you can click on this link to watch it live.
Like his famous father, Buchanan plays defensive back. The elder Buchanan played college football at Louisville and then in the NFL for 12 seasons, including from 1997-2003 for the Atlanta Falcons. Buchanan famously exchanged trash talk with Shannon Sharpe before Super Bowl XXXIII against the Denver Broncos.

Back to Junior. Here’s what he likes about finalist No. 1, Arkansas: “I have a good relationship with the coaches. I’ve had a lot of time to get to know them since they were the first school to offer me, which really caught my eye.”
Junior on Ole Miss: “They are also recruiting me as a cornerback. I really like their football program, and I visited this summer. I got to meet with [head coach Houston Nutt], and I like how he runs things down there. It’s a pretty quiet college town, and that’s another reason why I like them.”

If he likes Nutt, I would say, he better enjoy him for this year, as it seems his butt is as hot as everybody believes CMR’s is. Good luck to the kid where ever he decides to play though. An example of another Georgia High school player, making the big times.

Recruiting is like Dating. You think she will be good in the sack but you never know until you get her there. Don’t date base on the writing on the bathroom wall or recruit based on the recruiting services.

You are assuming the UGA staff has not evaluated this young man, which is obviously not the case. There are at least 150 seniors from this state who will sign with D-1 schools other than Georgia. UGA cannot get them all, so they have to prioritize.
