Isaiah Crowell has “left the building” at Carver-Columbus High School, awaiting the opportunity to save the world at UGA.
Crowell left behind plenty of talented teammates at Carver-Columbus, which is known for producing college football prospects on an annual basis. Carver had 20 seniors sign last Febraury and expects another strong batch this year.
One of Carver’s top 2012 prospects is Derious Bennett, a 6-foot-1, 275-pound defensive tackle who said he has around a dozen offers, including Arkansas, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Southern Miss, Duke, Houston and Marshall.
Bennett has nothing but praise for his former heralded teammate, Crowell.
“Isaiah is an amazing football player,” Bennett said. “He has tremendous character and is real humble. I think Georgia fans are going to be excited about what he does for them this season.”
Asked if there was anything that Georgia fans would be surprised to learn about Crowell as a person or football player, Bennett replied, “No, not really. Isaiah doesn’t leave much to figure out. He speaks his mind about things. He was a great leader for us, with both his actions and his words.”
Back to Bennett: He visited Southern Miss and Auburn this summer, along with attending camps at Wake Forest and Duke. He is favoring Southern Miss, but will likely wait until the middle or after his senior season to make his college decision. He is happy with his list of offers, but wouldn’t mind being evaluated by UGA, Clemson and Florida.
Bennett has a 3.0 and plans to study Marine Biology.

Hootie, from Greenwood ,SC was the Chairman at the time of Spurrier’s hiring, a lot’s of speculation about that, but the National even put out a press release saying it wasn’t so.

Crowell skipping workouts?
Are you there in Athens?
You read the report from the 1st day where he threw up.
Later reports are of him being at all the workouts and fully participating and showing amazing athletic skills in drills with the other players during player led workouts.
You don’t know what you are talking about do you?

Yea, I thought I was delusional when I saw Lattimore break like 478 tackes against Ga last year, but it turned out to be only 239.

You puppy fans need to go ahead and get your order in for Tums or Rolaids. Carolina’s D will be ready for your back and forth Lb’s/rb’s. Dawgs will need all the field goals they can get since they fold in the red zone. oops its another F U M B L E by the dawgies……….

Bottom line is spurrier hates UGA yet he is only 2-4 against them at SC
He couldn’t beat Richt when Richt was OC at FSU either.
Now he has his best team at SC ever and he is so desperate that he is letting a 5 time suspended drunk QB come back and play becuae he has no chance without him.

Wonder if Garcia can stay sober and out of trouble before they play us. I would hate for the league office to have to step in and say, Steve, enough is enough. Course, I hope the QB coach doesn’t drive him to the meeting, just say’n.

It’s commonly accepted knowledge that Herschel would’ve won the Heisman in 1980 were it not for the bias against underclassmen. Objectively, HW had a more impressive season.

Sick of hearing all this crap about Crowell.
Carver, what is his former teammate supposed to say? “Crowell sucks. He’s a terrible teammate. Georgia got a real loser.”
You can do better than this. Sick an tired of hearing about a guy who has yet to play a down of college football. It’s a tired and beat to death story. Let it go. Go do something productive, like not writing another “Crowell is going to be great” Story.

yo, cock fans you forget alot. Last year, you didnt whip UGA. they beat themselves with redzone turnovers. i think the margin was like 7 or 8 pts. not a whipping if you ask me. and we were a sub 500 team last year. why dont you win something first. then run your mouth. thats how it works in college football.

Walker? The greatest running back in history of college football? I don’t think so. I seem to remember a certain Barry Sanders that was much better than Walker. Yet if you talk about most rushing yards you have to talk about Ron Dayne. Walker was a great running back, but he was not the greatest.
