Joe Harris, who is considered by some to be Georgia’s top college football prospect on the offensive line, will pick between UGA, Clemson, South Carolina and Mississippi State on Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder from Lithonia High School named his four finalists out of 13 early scholarship offers. He will announce around 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday at a school function.
“I want to go to the university where I can see myself being the biggest success at as a football player, along with having a big impact on the team and helping them win,” Harris told the AJC on Tuesday night.
Harris on his four finalists:
Harris said he toured South Carolina and Clemson in June, and last saw UGA at Nike camp in April. He has never visited Mississippi State. He or Buford’s Vadal Alexander have flipped-flopped as Georgia’s No. 1-rated offensive lineman. Alexander has LSU, Alabama and Auburn as his leaders.
Check back at ajc.com between 4:30-6 p.m. for Joe’s decision.
UPDATE: One of Georgia’s top basketball players has Duke, Memphis and Ohio State as his leaders. Tony Parker, a 6-foot-9, 270-pound forward from Miller Grove High School, is also talking with North Carolina and NCAA champion UConn (click on story link)
