Ex-Meadowcreek HS standout Teondre Williams (Oregon SID)
Former Meadowcreek High School basketball standout Teondre Williams has decided to transfer from Oregon for his senior year.
“I am transferring back down to the South,” Williams told The Register-Guard.
We’re not sure if by “the South” Williams is referring to Oakland, Calif., (where he was born) or in the Southeast.
The 6-foot-4, 218-pound was a reserve player as a junior at Oregon, averaging 4.5 points and 1.7 points.

Even in Oregon, Oakland doesn’t constitute “the South.”

He could play at Tech, but I’m thinking he would do better in a smaller conference like Kennesaw State or GA State.

He is a reserve on a mediocre team in a mediocre conference with one year of eligibility left. Georgia State maybe. He’s not even going to get a sniff from the big schools. I can not see him xfering to a school where his degree would be worth less than at Oregon, but dumber things have been done. The fact that he declines all interviews does not bode well, particularly after a coaching change. The young man should look at his long term future with a degree from Oregon, and not some last hurrah playing basketball, or feeling wanted by some coaching staff somewhere. Its over and time to move on with your life.
