Stanford crashes back to reality without Harbaugh. Enjoy a great education and try to get to the league, b/c there will be no more BCS visits, Mr. Vaughters. Should’ve joined the dream team. Kent Turene fills your slot nicely enough.

Russell Muscle, Stanford has a history –even in it’s worst years– of producing NFL players. And.. they all can actually read. They are actually student – athletes. If this young man was fortunate to be one of the 7% admits of the 35,000 applicants for the class of 2015 you have to congratulate him. Stanford is not and never will be a football factory. But, Stanford does have quite an athletic history.. 16 straight Director’s Cups, 99 total NCAA team championships, the most student Olympians from the past four summer games, and a well funded athletics program. Stanford is blessed to have a lot of resources from international campuses, a $14 Billion endowment (Georgia’s endowment is less than a billion), and attracts the best and brightest from around the world. Mr. Vaughters made the right choice!

In my salad eatin days……I dreamed of walkin’ on at Stanford (ran a 4.6 at 228, played ILB)…at any rate…..this kid has his work cut out for him.

I used to play ball at Stanford (basketball) in the student gym, and in between games, where i was Ran Out the Gym, I spoke with students who could not get over how many hours each day were dedicated to study, I respect the mess outta those kids. (That education ain’t cheap.)

Regardless of how his football career materializes…..if he receives that Stanford degree, he will have led an examined life, and will be well on his way to happiness.

I wish he were a DAWG, but good on him, nonetheless..
