1. The folks over at GoJackets.com, the Scout website that covers Georgia Tech athletics, are having fun with April Fool’s Day. The main story on the home page Thursday is under a headline that proclaims “Yellow Jackets Land Commit No. 3.” The story goes on to say that the Tech has gotten its third commitment Thomas Fulry, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end of Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, Va. The story says he goes by the name “Tom,” so he’s known as Tom Fulry. Get it? And there is a Kecoughtan High in Hampton, Va., but that’s the only truth in the article. The school nickname is not “Harlequins;” it’s Warriors. And they have neither a Thomas Fulry on the roster nor a Shane Anigans (as in shenanigans), the 6-foot-3, 325-pound defensive tackle who attracted recruiters to Fulry. “This is an annual thing we’ve done,” said Rod McKenzie, a reporter for the website. “We got a good friend of mine a few years ago who actually published a blurb on his website.
