Its funny being a Florida fan in Atlanta when you can listen to a team that lost 5 games talk like they are about to play for the national title. For those Georgia fans who want to talk about winning streaks against rivals lets stop and think for a minute…Isn’t it 17 of 20 with your “biggest” rival. Man I would be so proud to lose five game lose to two of my biggest rivals but a combined 60 points and win one game. Damn maybe football in Georgia is different but in Florida we measure success by wins, not one game.

Even Bobby Douche stadium looks better than the swamp. What a terd. Worst campus in the SEC. I’m glad the game is staying in Jacksonville, so I don’t have to take an alchohol/terpentine bath when I leave the swamp.

GT4ever 10-2 is meaningless when you play in the ACC and can only beat the only real program in Georgia once every decade. We are the ACC champs no matter what happens in your so-called championship.

But now, even that is 2nd to the Clemson game this Saturday.

Despite all the bitter rhetoric on this blog, I think we can all agree on two things. First, let’s wish these two guys the greatest of success as they finish their high school careers and make their decisions about college. Second, I’m SURE we’re all glad to see that Saint Simons and some of the other idiot Jacket fans have gone into “hibernation” for the winter. I know they’ve “stirred the pot” … but I’ll be glad when (or if) things settle down and some of the more obnoxious Dog fans retire for the season as well.

I had this conversation with my boss who is a dog season ticket holder.We both agree that for the seconnd year in a row the better team did not win.Hands down last year uga was the better team but for that one day tech was better and i honestly believe techs overall the better team this year.But on that one nite uga was better.

I am a tech grad and was upset about the game. I have many uga friends as well and one of my uga friends said it best when she said uga has not earned the right to be arrogant this year. Take this win with humility just like I would if tech beat uga in a down year for tech.

Just think, if you go to Tech you’ll never have to worry about dividing up your tickets. Your family and friends can all walk up and get some at game time no problem! They may even get dinner included. When Duke comes to town, the place just gets crazy! There may only be 5,000 people there but with the speakers jacked up to 11 it sounds like 100,000!

And while I’m at it:
Yes the SEC is a better conference at the top. The ACC is mediocre throughout.
This year, Georgia beat the odds and everyones predictions, and pulled an upset against Tech.
Yes Georgia has the all-time record against us.
It’s still a close game every year (except maybe that 51-7 a few years ago). Tech has been predicted to beat Georgia 2 or 3 of the last 4 years, and we’ve choked…And yes that’s a W for UGA either way.
We’re on a pretty steady rise lately, but still a couple epic fails to prove we’re not there yet.
Georgia gets more talent, and is more appealing to recruits. Tech does more with less.
GT fans either went there/had family that did/or have some other tie to the school. Anyone without ties roots for UGA because “everybody’s doing it” and uga has historically been the superior team. Along those lines, tech fans are quicker to realize that there’s life outside of college football, so our fanbase isn’t nearly as obsessed. But yes, that means we have a smaller fanbase.
And lastly, as someone who lives literally within sight of Bobby Dodd….No, the GT campus is not ghetto by any stretch, but yes obviously some of the areas around it (AKA Atlanta) are.

Obviously some of these points could be debated, but most of them are pretty unbiased. I wish these comments weren’t always SOO twisted and obnoxious so we could have reasonable debates…but, i guess thats the internet.

GT Accounts Manager, Tech doesn’t stand to lose millions of dollars because of going to a lesser bowl after the loss to Georgia, and we can still go to a BCS bowl. The highest bowl we were ever going to go to was the Orange Bowl, so all we have to do is beat clemson again and we’re in a BCS bowl…. The Georgia game knocked us down a couple spots in the BCS rankings, and it stung our pride (Not to mention everyone wanting to retaliate for the last year of Saint Simon’s BS). But at the end of the day, I see it this way. To Georgia, this was the defining game of their season. To us, we’ve still got a chance to have a BCS bowl game, a top ten finish, and 12 wins. Spin it any way you want…Yes Georgia pulled off a win and it stings, and yes, Georgia gets a lot of those things more often than we do, but this year our roles are reversed. In state? We lost. As far as the nation is concerned? we’re still on top.

1. Marlon Brown was not red-shirted
2. Tech should stop complaining about Nesbitt’s injury. They run the offense that puts him in position to get hit hard and often. He got hurt in last years game as well. You guys need to develop your backups better. We all suffer injuries during games and during the season.
3. Your backup is one of those recruits Paul Johnson wanted. That is the kind of player he is going to bring in. You can’t complain about the results when he has to come in. It is what PJ WANTS!!!!
4. A 10 win season is average at UGA because that is precisely what we are getting nearly every year. 10 wins is average, 11 wins Good, 12 wins Great, 13 wins exceptional, 14 wins unforgettable. We aren’t tech…10 wins is not a rarity, but the norm, thus the difference in the way the seasons are viewed. If we win out bowl game, we will have won 90 games under Richt in 9 years which means we average…you guessed it 10 wins. Again…10 is an average season.
5. This is a blog about recruits. Make the best choice for you and best of luck wherever they land.

Tech, how can you say UGA has had very average years when we have won 10 games or more 7 of the last nine years? Is 10 not the number of wins Tech has this year, against a much weaker schedule? How is a UGA 10 win season against some of the top teams in the country only average, while a 10 win season against weaker competition is considered outstanding? Tech could very well win the ACC this year, but the reality of that is its like winning the double A baseball title, no one outside of that particular fanbase will care
